As some of the other reviewers have pointed out, the initial pressing of the album was flawed; 4 of the songs cut off well before they were finished. These tracks are as follows:

1. Heaven (Mÿon Remix) [should be 6:01, cuts off at 4:35]

3. It's You I Need [should be 4:29, cuts off at 2:04]

6. Imagination (Richard Robson Remix) [should be 4:06, cuts off at 1:56]

11. Ghost (Lime Chill Remix) [should be 4:32, cuts off at 1:42]

If you are unfortunate enough to receive a defective copy, send a nice, friendly e-mail (remember, they're as disappointed about the defective copies as we are) to "info at ultrarecords dot com" (Amazon apparently won't let us put e-mail addresses in our reviews). After contacting them, I received a new, flawless copy within about a week. After thoroughly inspecting the packaging for both the new CD, and the old, defective CD, I can tell you that there is no discernable difference between the two. Hopefully, you get lucky and purchase the new pressing but, if not, the helpful folks at Ultra Records will get you a new copy quickly.

Now, a few words about the album. It's a little more downtempo / chillout than Jes' previous album, Disconnect, but still as trancy as you'd expect from her. Bottom line: it's beautiful music, hooking you in with the very first track (the way "Ghost" did on Disconnect), and compelling you to experience the rest. If you haven't heard Disconnect yet, buy that album first; Into The Dawn really is a follow-up companion piece to Jes' 2007 masterpiece. Now, I'm just really looking forward to hearing how Armin van Buuren and DJ Tiësto incorporate some of her songs into their mixes later this year.

You may want to hold off on buying this disc for a while...there is a distinct chance the first printing was shipped out defective as 3 songs are clearly cut off in the middle on my copy and I am working with the label to see if it was just me or if it is a global issue.

The CD itself is an absloute triumph for JES...her sound works absolutely magically in the downtempo/chillout genre. If you liked the old chilled out Euphoria or Solar Stone downtempo CDs from a while back, you will love this once they get the kinks worked out. I will update my review once I find out the scoop from Ultra, but in the meantime resist the temptation cuz there is nothing worse than getting a great CD that is messed up.

This album is simply passion for your ears. Each song is executed with a unique perfection to put you in the mood.

This version is very good, soft rock, new age electronic, excelent smoot! the original version are electronica like Tiesto music, great for DJ that play underground or nite clubs.

I can't stop listening!! This is one great piece of work! JES' voice is just mesmerizing....This woman deserves more props in the EDM world. This CD shows that it is not just some DJ or producer making the magic. She is an all around talent!!

Jes is as great musically as she is good-looking. You won't find one bad tune on this collection of midtempo offerings. I was stunned by her version of the classic Pink Floyd hit 'Wish You Were Here'. 'Heaven' is remixed here, from her cd entitled 'Disconnect' and is great. Jes possesses a sultry, expressive voice that connects (sorry) with the listener immediately. She seems to have the pipes to sing just about anything and to do it well. Some other standout songs are 'Ghost' (simply excellent) and 'In Ohm' (interesting to use a term of electrical resistance as a song title) and 'As The Rush Comes'. By all means, pick up this cd! You won't be sorry.

I've always been a fan of Jes and her collaborations with other artists such as Deepsky and Motorcycle, so I was really excited to know she had released her own CDs, her voice is definitely one of my favorites! "Disconnect" just makes me want to dance, while "Into the Dawn" is more relaxing and mellow. I can't say one is better than the other, it just depends on your mood!

This CD is absolutely fabulous. If you have the Disconnect CD you will thouroughly enjoy this CD.

I absolutely love the music that is on this CD, however, as the previous review noted, three songs are definitely cut off right in the middle. Potential buyers, be warned- excellent music, but extremely possible technical malfunctions.

Jes has appeared on a number of trance tunes, especially Tiesto mixes which is how I became a fan of hers. I was expecting more of a trance type album but this is a bit more downtempo and chill. As a fan of chill, I enjoyed it. "Like a Waterfall" is quite good (check another mix of this on Tiesto ISOS 4 for the more driving version) and track 2 is very good too- there is something dark and heavy and very appealing about that one. I recommend it
