Sorry, I like Jagged Edge, but Sony Records needs to be smacked for this sorry azz mini collection disc..Jagged Edge Deserves a MUCH BETTER compilation, and SONY funked this up BIG TIME! At any rate, it you own all of Jagged Edge's CDs, turn your back on the record company, and make a BETTER CD!! I created my 'Ultimate Jagged Edge' CD early in 2006, and here's the
TRACKLISTING - 1. The Way That You Talk 2. I Gotta Be 3. Funny How 4. Ready & Willing 5. Addicted To Your Love 6. Keys To The Range 7. He Can't Love You 8. Let's Get Married 9. Promise 10. True Man 11. Healing 12. What You Tryin' To Do ? 13. Let's Get Married (Remix ft.Run) 14. Where The Party At ? (Ft.Nelly) 15. Remedy 16. I Got It (ft.Trina) 17. Walked Outta Heaven 18. Visions 19. Good Luck Charm There you have it, and you gotta wonder why they couldn't release a collection like THIS! I Think they're smoking something bad @ Sony, and they did the same thing to Ginuwine, which I'm about to review! In closing, fans should make better collections at home! Rating..I wanted to give 2 stars, but since it's the holiday season, 3 stars will have to do....NEXT!!!! Peace, SD (fr.'Chaka's World')

Nothing but Hits from a group that could have been great,
By Derrick Dunn "The Realest DJ" (Woodbridge,VA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Hits (Audio CD)
There was a time when I thought Jagged Edge could be one of the better groups in R&B after their successful first two albums. Sadly after the release of Jagged Little Thrill the group began to go down hill and all of their music began to sound the same. The CD contains all o the groups biggest and may be a sign that the label is getting ready to drop the group. The Hits does contain Jagged Edge's biggest hits from 1997 through 2005, but it's very brief at only 11 cuts and leaves out a handful of singles that did chart (four of which went Top 40 R&B) throughout the same span of time. Most of the group's albums -- 1997's A Jagged Era and 2001's Jagged Little Thrill especially -- have more to offer than just their singles, so this compilation will only satisfy those who are set on obtaining the outright smashes (such as "Let's Get Married," "Walked Outta Heaven," "He Can't Love U," and "Where the Party At") and nothing else. It has to annoy the group that this disc was released only six months after their self-titled fifth album, and that the compilers didn't even consider some of the best album cuts ("Wednesday Lover" "Slow Motion", True Man and "Watch You"," just to name a few. Another compliant with the CD is the lack of rare & unreleased material the disc could have included ("All Out Of Love"," On My Way" and "Hope You're Happy" are all classics). Regardless, The Hits is a decent introduction to a group that made up for its lack of jaw-dropping greatness with consistently good output.

Promise - Classic JE ballad. 5.25 stars. Walked Outta Heaven - Great, love-drenched ballad. 5 stars. Where The Party At? - One of Their few up-tempos. Loved it back in 2002/2003. 4 stars. He Can't Love You - Lovely song. 4.5 stars. I Gotta Be - JE's signature style written *all over* this one! 4.75 stars. Hopefully - Blah. 3.25 stars. Let's Get Married (Remix) - Awesome heart & soul ballad turned into a nice, but less-than-stunning mid-tempo. 4.25 Stunnas - WTF! 3 stars. Season's Change - John Legend makes an appearance. Who woulda figured?! 3.5 stars. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 41/11 = 3.727272727272727 3.727272727272727 = 3.72 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ = 3.72 stars...
