Great cd from a great singer..If you want music to make you feel good and feel what the singer has gone through in his life this is it.There isn't another singer that could be as amazing as this man and his music.This is the cd to buy for great music.

His voice is the only one that makes me feel so good when I listen to him. His love of music comes through in his music everytime he picks up his guitar and plays for his many fans, or around a campfire. I'm glad he's still singing. I do have the pleasure of knowing him and I know I'm very lucky. This CD is great. I listen to it alot! Thanks, ....

Another U.S. fan, waiting for more releases. I hear Johnny R. in every room, and I can relate to the above fan wearing out their albums, I still have Johnny on 8-tracks - O.K. I know, but you can put one of his in and it will play all day - no need to change anything - and believe you me I can listen to Johnny all day and night. In other rooms I have the CD's - but for this 80's Lady you can't beat the old 8-tracks. When I like something - I like something - If he would record Happy Birthday - Yup I'd have to have that one too.

I think more country artists should record COUNTRY MUSIC, like that found in the music of Jonhhy Rodriguez

Johnny Rodriquez has brought many happy hours of listening into my home. I only wish there were more of his songs available. He has a sound all of his own, and i am glad i found a place to order it as mine are wearing out.

A great album with a great selection from Johnny's catalog. Johnny Rodriguez was one of the few actual country singers of the 1970's (along with Bobby Bare and Mel Street) who didn't get caught up in the awful funk of that decade. A lot of folks say he copied Merle Haggard; personally, I hear much more of Lefty and Webb than Merle....and Johnny's delivery put Merle to shame (there, I said it). The best cut on the album is appropriately at the beginning, with "I Just Cant Get Her Out of My Mind"....absolutely pure country gold and one of the top 5 hits of the 70's. Other gems include "Riding My Thumb to Mexico" and his original version of "That's the Way Love Goes". If I have one criticism, it's the inclusion of Desperado.....this Eagles' song, while expertly penned, has been covered by everybody and anybody, and frankly, none sound as good a Don & Glenn and the boys. I believe tossing this number out and maybe adding a few more Johnny originals would have been a better choice; but hey, that's my opinion. In any case, you owe it to yourself to get this album (or any of Johnny's albums). A+

All my family listens to Johnny Rodriguez. My children who are in primary schools even sing to his songs. Why is it that alot of his albums are "OP' out of production? I've met Johnny Rodriguez and he can't answer that one. In my eyes he's the best singer and he can't sing a bad song. He has the most soothing voice of all.

I bought this as an introduction to Johnny Rodriquez. It was supposed to be "Hits", but I am not sure. There are only eleven very short songs on this CD. Maybe 27 minutes total of music. Very paltry for a modern day CD to have so little music. The songs are just okay. Would not recommend this CD at all.

Good CD. I actually bought this for my Mom, but we both enjoy listening to it.
