I love Justin Hayward, he could do anything and I'd stand right there cheering- die hard fan......but, this CD is called Justin Hayward & Friends. Well, his friends [stink] at singing his songs. The ONLY reason I gave this CD 4 stars was because of Justin's "FRIEND'S," but the songs that Justin does sind are WELL worth the measily cost of the CD. If you like Justin just a smidgen: YOU NEED TO GET THIS CD!

Justin's vocals here worth the price of admission..., March 8, 2006
This review is from: Hits of the Moody Blue (Audio CD)
I've seen other music reviews REALLY knocking down this album, saying that the two guest vocalists doing Moody Blues hits on this album are absolutely terrible. However, if it was only Justin singing ALL 14 of his own songs on this album, the repetitive listening would get old pretty fast, and lack variety. Quite frankly, I thought the two "friends" of Justin did a decent job. With a full orchestra wonderfully performing all instrumentation here, giving all the songs here a powerful facelift and more of a cosmic texture, I truly enjoyed these updated renditions of these Moody Blues classics.

A bit disappointing, May 13, 2008
I was a bit disappointed with this. Justin only sang lead on 6 songs (Forever Autumn, Running Water, Blue World, Blue Guitar, Voices in the Sky and In My World). The other guys were OK, but when Justin sang backup, the songs were much better. It's not bad, but I probably wouldn't have bought this if I knew that Justin sang lead on 6 of the 14 songs. Of course it's always great to listen to Moodies music, even if it's Elevator Musak.
