Editorial Reviews

The last man on earth is Doug Trench, conservative talk show host. Everyone else has been assimilated by Hive Mind, a massive collective consciousness born from implant cell phone technology. Secluded in his broadcast bunker for twenty years, Maha Trenchy decides to fire up his radio transmitter one last time before he is killed, and fight the Hive Mind with half his brain tied behind his back. A prophetic post-apocalyptic view of a world driven mad from political correctness and tyranny, from director Ladd Ehlinger Jr (Flatland The Film).

Hive Mind impressed me with how well it was put together. Greg Trent did a fantastic job in this. It is what I would call an 'art house' film, one that does give you an insight to what 'could be'.
This film will definately spark some debates for sure!
The only downside is it is a little on the long side, but definately worth watching in my opinion.
Kudos Ladd!

Apocalyptic movies have long been a particular genre of film and movie. Ladd Ehlinger Jr has given a rather interesting spin to the type with his picture Hivemind.

In the not so far future Apple's latest phone that you swallow gives you the power of all media via thought, however an interesting side effect takes place. It creates a single collective mind. The hive mind that reduces humanity to a single gestalt that knows everything but also knows best.

Thus humans lose their humanity, but there is a single hold out; a conservative talk radio host who locked away in a bunker finally running out of his booze, cigars and food decides that he is going to use the equipment that he and his former broadcast engineer scrounged to put out his last broadcast, his final shake of the fist against the power that be. The power he knows will trace his signal.

Greg Trent is very believable as the talk show host who insists on playing his old commercials and talking to his old engineer who isn't there. He has the burden of carrying the movie and manages to do it with gusto to the conclusion that you sense might be coming.

For most of the picture he shakes a fist at an empty world with some interesting graphics that are not quite understood as the commentary. The side graphics seem odd and to my mind the weakest part of the film.

The picture really advances when he finds himself in actual conflict with the Hive Mind. It is really powerful moment and plays very well. The conflict is not so much physical but intellectual as he makes the final argument an unshakable tyranny that knows what's best for him, or is it unshakable?

To say that this picture is conservative red meat is to say that Ice Cream is cold.

Amazing film. I just watched Hive Mind. This should be required viewing for all Americans to wake up from the nightmare of the lapdag media and slop culture that we have been drowning in. This is the current crisis of that Black conservatives deal with as the liberal world insists that we not think for ourselves, but allow so called leaders to manipulate us into obedient slaves to all things liberal. Showing the solitude of refusing to bow to the Hive Mind, made me feel not so alone anymore. Thank you.
Loved the John McCain rant! What a jewel! This should be on Amazon Primeinstant video to get more visability. It's much better than Hunger Games. It's about real survival in this world.
