if you're reading this you are probably a fellow hive sufferer. i gave this item 3 stars because i can't say for sure if these pills help or not. like most people, my frustrating case of hives comes and goes on its own and its source cannot be traced. i have been using them and the hives have greatly calmed down lately. whether this is from the pills or not, i can't say. my doctor told me to just wait this problem out and the hives should peter out on their own. i would suggest that someone considering getting these pills give them a try. it probably can't hurt to try them. you take them as needed, a couple of dry, tiny candy like pills under your tongue. i have them on my desk as i type this. i take them pretty often. i've been suffering from hives for 6 months now and so far no prescription medication has helped at all -- in fact, i slowly realized that medication (over the counter and prescription) made them 10 times worse than when i took nothing. these pills certainly don't make them worse like all of the other stuff did. i've bought these hyland's pills twice now and i feel they do something to calm them. sorry this is so vague -- but hives are a weird problem. i wish something would get rid of them for good, but nothing has so far. i feel these give me some sort relief.

I`ve had chronic hives for over 2 years with minor outbreaks once or twice daily.
My most recent severe outbreak was on new years eve 2009. I took several shots of tequila all of which gave me goose bumps. Well I guess that was all it took to trigger a reaction. I tried everything to get rid of the hives, benedryl, clariten, and several others I can`t think of right now NONE of which worked. I went to the Sunshine House supplement store and asked about a product for hives. They had this product. I tried 3 tablets under my tongue and within an hour the hives were no longer swollen or itchy. The next day they were nearly gone only slightly pinkish. I take 2 in the morning and 2 at lunch then 2 at bedtime. This has cut my reactions down at least 90%. If I feel like I`m getting hives I`ll take 3 or 4 of the hive tablets and very soon after the feeling subsides. I love this product and will never take a prescription or otc drug for hives ever again. By the way I had never gotten hives in my life until I took a sulfa drug and had a serious alergic reaction to it. After that I just kept getting hives. I am 31 now I took the sulfa drug when I was 28 and still get hives from the damage it did. This product is the only on that helped me.

I have had the weird chronic hives for over a year and a half now. These pills don't "cure" them but they work better than anything else I have tried. Benedryl also helps to some extent, but the side effects are incapacitating. These don't make me sleepy or anything.

I have chronic hives and when I've taken this product, it is unclear whether it is working. I suspect that if my problem were purely allergic (it is not), then the product would clear them up.

Unfortunately, I have not seen any improvement with using this product. Once you have suffered from hives for any length of time, you pray for a miracle cure. Unfortunately, this is another product that does not work.

I broke out in hives last year and decided to try to relieve my hives using a homeopathic product. I can't tell whether my hives went away using this product or was it just my body healing itself with the help of using Claritin. I just don't think these pills helped at all. Truly I saw no results using these Hyland pills. I decided to go with Claritin and I got results within one week. My hives went away within a few days.
Save your money and skip these pills unless you want to give it a try. Stick with allergy pills that has worked for many people for several years for about the same price.
