This book by Y. Kobelev is about that great Vietnamese, Ho Chi Minh, who distinguished himself in the world communist and national liberation movements. It shows his part in organizing the Working Party of Vietnam and what he accomplished after the August 1945 Revolution, in the resistance against French colonialists and in the war against the U.S. aggressors. His contribution to building the new society is vividly described. Kobelev made extensive use of Ho Chi Minh's writings, of the many books and articles about him, and of the archives of the Museum of the Vietnamese Revolution - all this he blended with his own impressions of Ho Chi Minh, whom he had had the good fortune to meet. from book's back cover
