This foot bath is just what is says it is. Read the description and you will know what it does. The "4 powerful jets" are really just one sort of divided that shoot across the top of your feet. Personally I like the feel of the bubbles more. When they said "soothing heat helps maintain warm water temperature" they meant it. It will NOT warm the water and moving around as much as it does it has a hard time keeping it hot. I found though that it did fine for like 20 or 30 minutes and by that time I was done anyway. It is quite and about the right size (big enough to be comfortable but not so big that it is a pain to find a place to put it away.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very pleased, March 15, 2006

This review is from: Homedics BL-200 JetSpa Footbath (Health and Beauty)
I rated this 4 stars - for the price it is an excellent value. I am completely satisfied with this product. The jets are powerful, the bubbling action works and if you pour hot water in the tub, it retains the heat for about 15 minutes.

I read the reviews on several foot spas before deciding on this one. Some of the footspas were originally a higher price and marked down to a comparable price. I decided on this specific model - the Homedics BL-200 - because ALL of the reviews are good and the price was affordable.

The Jetspa has a handle, 3 "attachments" - a brush, a pumice stone and a massager and an area to wrap the cord on the bottom. The attachments do not spin, or do anything fancy - they simply attach to the unit and you can use at your discretion.

The jet stream action is very powerful for a small unit. If you use a foot soak gel or salts in with the bath, only use a small amount. The bubbling action is very powerful and too much product can cause bubbles to overflow and spill out of the machine. The only negative is that sometimes I have to plug, unplug and plug the machine before I can get it to start up.

If you are looking for an affordable foot spa this is an excellent option!

in this product. It causes corrosion of the jets. Only certain kinds of oils can be used.Had I have known this I would not have purchased this product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good After Work, August 28, 2010

This review is from: Homedics BL-200 JetSpa Footbath (Health and Beauty)
Before I ordered this, I read alot of other reviews. Some of them were positive, but alot were negative stating that the water doesnt get hot. Well, apparently, they didnt see the red sticker on the inside of the tub which clearly states "...FOR HEAT MAINTENANCE ONLY...." It is also in the description of the product; "Soothing heat helps maintain warm water temperature." Can people not read???
Now my review, I like it, my husband loves it. Being on our feet all day, its nice to come home, start up the foot spa, and relax. I dont really like the jets, but the bubbles are nice. Plus, I love doing my own pedicures, so this helps with the foot soaking before everything else. As far as the noise, I really dont care for it. Its not loud, but its not quiet. And the attachments, they are manual, not battery opperated; you do the work- we have no problem with that. I would say to watch how much foot soak you pour in, it will create TONS of bubbles. (Lavender foot soak after work is the best.) Would I recommendate this to someone? Yes. But I will tell them that if they are looking for something thats gonna make them feel like they just spent the day at the Spa, this isn't for you. Otherwise, its a good product.

I should have taken heed at the other's who gave this unit a poor rating. This thing isnt worth your time, effort and certainly not your MONEY. "DOUBLE BUBBLES??" I'd like to know where. I couldnt even feel the bubbles on the bottoms of my feet.....and "JETS"? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Those tiny useless streams? "HEAT". What Heat... It doesnt even keep the hot water I put in luke warm after 5 minutes, and "QUIET?" They have to be out of their minds. I had the TV volume turned up almost all the way.....sounded like a jet engine at take off.
This baby is in the box and going back as fast as I can get it into the post office. I really was disappointed.....but I guess you buy cheap, you get cheap.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice small gadget, January 11, 2006
This review is from: Homedics BL-200 JetSpa Footbath (Health and Beauty)
I've tried out this small gadget several times, and found that it is perfectly good and enjoyable. Frankly speaking, the modern design is really eye-catching, and its functionality is really versatile. and the special design of the tote handle is very thoughtful. I will be considering buying two as gifts for my relatives.

This is a good medium-range foot bath. Filled with hot water, and sitting down with a good book, I feel very pampered.

Consider what you are getting for the price. It's a well-made, decent product. Yeah, the "jet" water feature is more like a little stream of water, but it's not a big deal. I love the convenience of the handle for dumping out the water when finished using it.

I love the jets and the heating feature. The tote handle makes it easy to carry. I wish the massage roller was actually in position where it would be under the water when I use it, but other than that it's a great machine.
