Reviews of similar bath spa products mention problems with noise, suction cups, and cleaning.
These issues exist, but I believe they are minimal when comparing cost with product.

I find this to be a very good value.

I was impressed at how strong the jets really are. I was expecting much less power from this mat that seems more like a pool toy than a "spa".
The pressure was surprisingly strong and massaging.
In fact, my nearby book (which I had intended to read while soaking) went untouched as the only thing I wanted to do while using the spa was close my eyes.

All of the suction cups do not stay in place, this is true -- but I found it was only a minor inconvenience.
I had no problems with the cleaning -- as you need only to spend an extra minute pooling the water near a hole and turning the blower on. This takes no strength, not much time, and really should be expected of any product like this.

Regarding noise. Yes... it is noisy. But so is being in a real jacuzzi tub. In fact, if you had a jacuzzi tub in your home you would be dealing with even more noise.
These things are not quiet.

My biggest single complaint is that you are not supposed to use any kind product in the bath water.
No soap, oils, salts, or gels of any kind should be used.
This means you are not going to be cleaning or moisterizing at the same time you are "spa-ing".
Therefore, you might end up bathing twice in an evening.
That is a pretty big inconvenience.... but... all in all I think [$$$]or such a powerful at-home jacuzzi experience is an excellent deal.

I disagree with the negative reviews of this product. If anything, it works better than advertised. One complaint was that if you turn it on and leave it running, by the time you get in, the water's cold. Well, don't turn it on until you're ready to get in. Another complaint was the unit is surprisingly loud. It's also surprisingly bubbly --more like a gym hot tub than a home Jacuzzi. The instructions say not to use it with soap or shampoo (not to put it in the hose), but any shampoo or soap that spills in the tub instantly turns into a mountain of frothy foam. Is this thing fun or what? The leaflet also says to dry the mat and sanitize it now and then, but if you can, just disconnect the hose and leave the mat in the tub. It makes a great bath mat, and it's always ready to transform to hot tub mode. Suction cups hold it in place, so it's easy to remove the mat for cleaning. The unit plugs into the wall, but there's no danger since the hose is long enough to keep the unit away from the tub (and most bathrooms have GFI electrical outlets for backup protection). The only problem is that once your friends see your Bubble Spa, they'll want one too, and the tub will suddenly become a popular destination for your roommates or family.

I purchased this item quite some time ago. At the time of purchase I had a bathtub that was the plastic-like kind. This product will not affix to this sort of tub. However I recently moved to a place with a regular style tub and the suction cups work great. This product does run more loudly than I expected, but does provide as promised a wonderful tub full of bubbles.
I too noticed that the air tended to cool the water, but solved this problem by running the bath hotter than I normally would. Overall I like it although it isn't something you use for a "quick" bath.

Just plug in the cord and bubble away. Your bathtub turns into an instant Jacuzzi, and yes it's a little loud but you can place the canister outside the door -- great for small bathrooms. Warning: The bubbles are so relaxing you won't want to get out!

Although it is very powerful, it is also very noisey. Imagine being in your bathtub with a running vacuum cleaner right next to the tub. That is the effect. It is very effective in turning the tub into a bubble spa, however I would suggest earplugs if you are tring to use it to relax.

Do not buy, what a waste!!!! It is SUPER loud and the bubbles are COLD! so unless you can fill your tub with scalding hot water and want to relax with the noise of a running car next to your ear don't buy this!!

I was excited to receive a BubbleSpa Massaging Bubble Mat, and looked forward to many relaxing baths.

Upon assembling and starting up the unit, I was pleased to see the thousands of bubbles that filled my tub. Although the unit was *extremely* loud, I overlooked this in anticipation of a relaxing spa experience.

Upon entering the bathtub (which I had filled with hot water minutes earlier), I was shocked to find that the water had already turned cold. Upon further investigation, I realized that the air being pumped through the Homedics unit and out to the spa mat was producing ice cold bubbles, which quickly turned my relaxing hot bath into an arctic nightmare.

I am not a fan of cold baths, and could find no use for this product.

I contacted Homedics to give them my feedback and got this generic reply: "Unfortunately, we do not sell direct, so any type of refund must come from the place of purchase."

If you like cold baths and loud noise, this unit is for you. Otherwise, you may want to consider another product if your purpose is to relax in the tub.
