With its soothing sounds and striking visuals, the EnviraScape Crossing Waters fountain is a handsome and relaxing addition to desk or end table. I really like the pattern of the water jets. The lights illuminate not only the waters, but the ceiling also. My only complaint is that the pump gets loud if the water level drops just a minor amount (<1/4"). But, I use it every night when I sleep, and it provides a wonderful white noise.

I bought this as a gift for my hubby, who was complaining that my rain CD had some pretty annoying frogs croaking in the background. This fountain was a snap for me to set up. The criss-crossing water stream idea was kind of weird at first, but it works, and makes a great rain sound WITHOUT splashing all over, which is the best. Yes, you'll have to refill this every night or so, especially if the air is dry in your home. The lights in the water streams are pretty cool if you're looking at it in the daytime, but at night, they're too bright for our taste, so I just popped the light-doohicky out of the base and settled it in the water, where the lights are covered up. When we had it on a bedside cabinet, the fountain somehow managed to make a low vibrating sound that seemed to come within the empty cabinet it sat on; however, we now have it sitting on a little desk, and it doesn't make that strange sound anymore. We never hear the pump, which is another added benefit.

For the inexpensive price, this little fountain is truly great! The lighting effects on the ceiling (at night) are quite relaxing as well as the quiet water sounds. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I really enjoy this!
