This is my first foot massager, so I can't compare it to other products. But I love this one!

When I stand on it, it is such deep pressures that I feel my feet are very well massaged. I like it putting it in front of the sofa and put my feet on it too. That way, the pressure is lighter, and I can actually do it for a longer period of time.

The heat setting is great. It gets a little hot if I do it more than 5 minutes or so, which only happen if I'm using it sitting down (I can't last for 5 minutes standing on it, the pressure is too great and I don't stand in one place for 5 minutes).

What I love most about this is that I can use it for my calves. When I'm sitting on the sofa, I put this on the coffee table in front of me to massage my calves. The heat is fantastic! I put a pillow underneath when I do this so I can change angles depending on where on calves I want the massage (e.g. near knees, near ankles).

I'm sure this is not the highest quality massager ever. But it's $45. I wasn't looking for a top-notch massager anyway. I think it's as good as it gets for the price.

Fabric: It's thin. I just got it so I can't speak to the actual durability - maybe it's thin and durable, I don't know.
Heat: There is only one setting for heat - on or off. It takes half a minute to warm up.
Auto shut-off: It shuts off automatically after some time (I haven't timed - maybe 15 minutes?). It's right about the time I feel like the heat gets too much to me, so it works for me.
Noise: I don't find it noisy at all.
Weight: It's very light, so I can easily place it on and off my coffee table with one hand.

Used this daily for two months. The cloth covering is worn out and the plastic rotating ball units are totally exposed. Next the gearing gave out.. sounds like cheap plastic gears slipping. This is a total waste of money. NOT worth it whatsoever. JUNK in big letters. I tried to contact Homedics and aside from an email autoreplyer.. never ever got any returned email from their customer service. Tried two weeks later and still no human reponse. So, you have been warned if you buy this piece of crap. This is in the trash as a total waste of money. Guarantee. LOL. Yeah, right.

Many foot massagers I've tried are practically worthless. I got this for $40 or so over a year ago. I use it frequently and it's one of the best low cost foot massagers on the market. The fabric is starting to tear now, but at $40 it's not like I expected it to last forever. I'm upgrading to a much higher end massager soon, but will miss the good deep tissue massage this offers. It's great after a long day on your feet. If you want something that's going to last much longer, get a more expensive unit that's built to last. But if you're moving up from those garbage vibration-only massagers, this is a good in-between option before investing in something even better.

I love, love, love this massager! I got it as a gift a year and a half ago (December of 2010) and use it everyday. After nine hours of standing on a concrete floor I NEED this. It took about a year of daily use, but I'd finally worn the fabric off of it, but it still works great as long as I wear socks. It was worth every penny, and anyone with real foot pain knows price isn't relevant if it works, and compared to the $200 I spend every six to eight months on orthotics, this is nothing... Plus, my husband doesn't have to rub my feet every night anymore, lol (btw, he was the one who bought it for me.) Check bed bath and beyond for it. It was $50 at the time, plus I had a 20% off coupon.

It does what's advertised. For the price you can't really complain. Haven't had the quality problems some other reviewers have complained about.

Also if you shop at CostCo you might want to call and ask if they stock this item. Found it there for $35 and they'll exchange it if you have any issues down the line.

No signs of wear or tear after a month of infrequent use (A few times a week). The rotating balls underneath the provided fabric tickle my feet.

Pros: Gets the job done, not hideous
Cons: Tickle-prone

I have been struggling with plantar fasciitis pain for almost a year. It started in my arches, but eventually it progressed into being constantly tender heels. I bought the night splints, the arch supporting elastic bands, and the supportive socks. I iced my feet and rolled my feet on tennis balls. I even stuck to wearing shoes with serious arch support. No luck with any of that. However, this arrived three days ago, and I have been using it twice a day. So far, I am very optimistic. My pain has been less and less each day, including when I wake in the morning. I will be sad if I have to replace it (I read all the reviews where the fabric wore out). But if it helps me get rid of my pain, I will buy another one if I have to!

I ran this massager less than 15 minutes before it froze permanently. I have had other HoMedics products before and they wore out fairly quickly, but never this fast. Like others here I would give this one a zero if it was possible to do so.

I've had 3 or 4 different foot massagers over the years, and I've basically liked Homemedics as a brand (I've had about a dozen of their products), so I bought one of these. I knew it was the cheaper model, but I figured it would last a little while.
Well, for no good reason it stopped running six days outside of the Amazon return window. Just my luck.
Since I didn't have it all that long, I couldn't really say if it was going to break or wear our in other ways since it no longer works. It has power and light but no rotation/function occurs and it's not obstructed.

Works wonderfully. I work on my feet all day and nice to come home and be able to get a nice massage that digs deep into the muscles the way I like.
