5.0 out of 5 stars Electronic Toothbrush Convert
This is my first electronic toothbrush and I really am a convert. My teeth are noticeably cleaner and the price for this brush is amazingly low compared to other brushes

1.0 out of 5 stars Not reliable
6 1/2 months after getting this item, it's dead as a doornail. It's not like we brush our teeth all day long -- shouldn't it have been able to withstand normal morning/evening use by two ordinary adults for at least a year? First, it started to vibrate uncontrollably, even when not being used; then it just stopped.

I guess we'll go for a different brand next time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pressure feature is great!, October 28, 2004
This review is from: HoMedics HD-270C PowerDent Ultra Rechargeable Rotary Toothbrush (Health and Beauty)
I have had this toothbrush for over two years, and it works as great now as the day I got it. In my opinion, the pressure feature is the best part about this brush. I was recommended this brush by my dentist, after it became apparent that I was wearing holes in my enamel by brushing too hard (not helped by having 'soft' teeth, either).

This toothbrush 'trains' you to brush with the right pressure (believe me, a very hard habit to break). It also has a 2 minute timer, with automatic shut off, so you know how long to brush. Talk about proper toothbrushing for dummies! :) Now I no longer need to use this brush to make sure that I don't brush so hard, but I love how clean my teeth feel with this toothbrush, and the brush replacements are so cheap (and easy to get at Target or Walmart) why stop using it? :)

This toothbrush never worked from day one. The on/off button never worked and it would instantly start going off as soon as you removed it from the charger. Then one day in the middle of the night it started going off by itself and it wouldn't shutt off. Save your money for Sonicare. It's worth it.

I had been wanting an electric tooth brush and finally decided on this one. Aside from price, I liked the fact that it had a timer to make sure you brush your teeth long enough. After using this item I realize I probably have NEVER brushed my teeth long enough. I always used toothbrushes with hard bristles as I felt that if you did not have hard bristles, then the toothbrush really was not doing anything-- of course, my dentist kept giving me those tooth brushes with the soft bristles that felt like I was brushing my teeth with a piece of silk. Well, this item has THE PERFECT BRISTLES. ALSO, BECAUSE OF THE PRESSURE YOU ARE TO USE, IT FEELS LIKE YOUR TEETH ARE REALLY GETTING CLEAN! I use to think I brushed my teeth hard but according to the sensor on this item I guess I was doing ok. I REALLY LIKE THE FACT THAT IT WILL "PAUSE" IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH PRESSURE OR IF YOU HAVE TOO MUCH. IT WILL THEN RESUME BRUSHING ONCE YOU APPLY THE RIGHT PRESSURE AND CONTINUE ON FOR THE RECOMMENDED 2 MINUTES.

I really like this electric toothbrush especially for the price!
