I bought this scale at a local store and brought it home. I stepped on it for the first time, and found I was 13 lbs heavier than I had been just that morning! On subsequent tries I could never get it to give me the same weight twice and the variations were not small (sometimes 2 lbs, sometimes 10 or more). My husband tried it an experienced the same problem. It was also hard to set it up and make it work, it wouldn't always weigh you when you stepped on it and would often give an "error" message. All in all, quite possibly the worst scale I have ever tried. I promptly returned it.

I have been carefully monitoring my weight loss regimen with this scale. It has been frustrating because the scale seems to 'remember' the last weight (from the day before) and shows that instead of weighing me again. To thwart this, I grab a few books and weigh myself -- apparently this throws off the memory, because the next time I hop on the weight seems reasonable with my expectations.

If someone could please explain to me why this scale is so weird and how I can program it to merely weigh the person who steps on it, then I would be truly appreciative.

Testing the scale just now, it sometimes differs by about 1.5 pounds when I step off and step back on it. The body fat analyzer also varies a lot; if your feet aren't moist, it can jump by 5-10%. I used to keep the scale in my bathroom and at some point it just stopped working; I had thought the battery was dead but I took it out of the closet today and it turned on again. Not a very reliable product.

It said I weigh 50 lbs less than I actually do. It wouldn't even work when my girlfriend stepped on the scale and the body fat calculator didn't work for either of us.

The reason for purchasing this scale was not for the BFA, but because it weighs to 1/10 of a degree.

We have had the scale less than one month. When we first got it it weighed to 1/10 of a degree....but for no known reason it now only weighs my husband in half pound degrees and myself in 1/5 pound degrees.

We have not moved it's location or anything. When you are on a diet and weigh yourself ever day, seeing that 1/10 pound loss keeps you going, even 1/5 is good... but having to loose a whole 1/2 of a pound, which could take a week, is very discouraging.

This was not a cheap scale and is "supposed" to be under warranty. We read the owners manual and looked online at the FAQ and troubleshooting sections and found nothing that relates to this issue. So, we contact customer service and they have been nothing but rude and a complete nightmare.

First they said to read the manual... Hello! We did that first thing, we even checked all information we could find online to see how to fix it... BEFORE contacting customer service. This issue isn't even mentioned in the manual...if they had bothered to research it any at all, they would have known that and not wasted my time with worthless advice.

From there it got worse... they asked questions I had already answered and were just completely rude. When I said forget it and said I would just return it they said they would mail me the replacement part needed. Oh OK great...

Then I get an email saying they can't mail me the needed part because I wasn't in the USA (I live in Tennessee and my address was on the original email), then they say something about me not having a receipt (they never asked for a receipt, but if they had...they would know that I have one... otherwise why would I offer to return it?)

They were so rude and condensending, that I no longer cared if we got the scale fixed. The scale is being returned and we will never purchase a product from this company again.

The scale is off on the weight. My weight was 10 lbs different than it was 12 hours ago, and was 4 lbs different than it was 20 minutes ago. My body fat has been jumping from obese to normal. It takes several tries to get it to actually weigh. I've had better results with a 'cheap' walmart scale.

This scale is terrible. The body fat indicator has never worked and the scale itself is usually about 2-5 lbs off, normally on the high side. I've compared my weight to my doctors scales and have been adjusting accordingly ever since. It also has "memory" of your last weight the previous day. I always have to weigh twice, once to clear the memory holding something of weight, and once to get a fresh weight. I put 40 lb weights on it and they weighed 45 lbs. I tried it with 80 lb dumbbells and it was worse at 87 lbs. It's worthless and I'm now buying a balance beam scale.

I step on the scale multiple times and never get same weight each time. Tried it in different locations as well to see if floors in the house are throwing off the numbers but it is just the scale. Errors consistently pop up too. You might as well guess how much you weigh, it would likely be more accurate!

Pros: looks cool, useful memory features
Cons: doesn't work. measurements were all over the place every day, and after a few weeks just stopped working altogether, tried changing batteries and everything.
