Created by HoMedics, this scale takes readings of both weight and body fat percentage to provide a complete picture of your health and fitness levels. It generates these readings using Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA), which sends harmless electrical pulses up through your feet and then reads the return signal. The scale automatically switches on when you step on it, and the 1.81-by-1.95-inch LCD monitor has a 3-line display for easy reading. The display indicates weight to .2 pounds, calculates body fat percentage to .5 percent, and rates your body fat readings on a low/normal/high scale. A good choice for families or large households, the scale stores data for up to ten users, including height, age, and gender. You can also select weight-only readings. Calibrated to hold up to 300 pounds or 136 kilograms, the scale features a simple back switch to change from one system of measurement to the other. Measuring 11 by 12 inches, it has a simple white and black design with arcs of silver buttons to direct foot placement. This scale has given me problems since day one. It was the second scale I bought after I returned a defective one before this purchase. I was so fed up I thought oh well, this will have to do. Basically, you have to get the best 2 out 3 results from the read out and average it out. It measures different numbers almost every time! I thought it was the battery and then I thought it was me having lost weight from a.m. to p.m. daily! But I've stepped on the scale repeatedly and tested it and the results are "right" 50/50....and... since I belong to Weight Watchers, I've noticed that this scale is 5 pounds off. So I always weigh 5 pounds more at Weight Watchers and 7 pounds more at the doctors office. Too much math!!! Body Fat analyzer not that predicatable either. It gives wacky read outs too... I call this product my Scale Suggestion not my Scale.

I bought the SC510, wich is similar to this product, and it sucks. I didnt get a manual... They scale tips over or below your real weight if you shake/move slightly while standing on it... SERIOUSLY. I set some 20 pound weights on it and they read 17.2 lbs.... SERIOUSLY.... DO NOT BUY HOMEDICS PRODUCTS. ITS NOT WORTH IT , FOR THE MONEY..... WANT SOMETHING BETTER? BUY A DOCTORS SCALE.... THAT'LL WORK JUST FINE.
