My SC-560 took over six weeks to arrive, too, and I wonder if it was due to high demand following a glowing review of the model in "Prevention" magazine. That review was what inspired me to get this particular scale, and I doubt I was the only one.
This scale gives you so much more information than just your weight (in increments of 0.2 pounds); it displays body fat percentage, body water percentage, and estimated daily caloric requirement to maintain your current weight. This may be too much info for some people who just want a quick weight reading, although it does that, too. The reason I am not rating the scale more highly is that I find the LCD display a bit small for comfortable reading. The "low/normal/moderate/high" indicator is practically invisible. Also, the scale would not work for me at first -- I was on the verge of calling Homedics customer service when I thought to remove the 9-volt battery and reinstall it, after which it seemed to work just fine. Finally, I find the "Ideal" weight and caloric requirement that the scale suggests to be confusing. I feel I could stand to lose a few pounds yet it tells me I should be heavier than I am. Hmmmmm..... If you want this model, the price here at Amazon is by far the best I found anywhere online.

Incredible!,

I have never owned a scale that reads the same when you step on, off and back on again! Talk about accurate! It is very easy to program, too. This scale has helped motivate me to lose 15 lbs in 2 1/2 months! Sometimes I can see that I haven't lost weight, but have lost body fat and this is a huge motivation to keep going!

5 stars for the HoMedics SC-560 HealthStation Body Fat Analyzer & Scale. It's a terrific product but the seller took 50 days to get it to me; OUCH! ZERO stars for the seller!

not worth the money,

I was so excited about this purchase and became more excited when it arrived and I learned how easy it is to use. However, I quickly learned that it is far from accurate. I personally spent the money on this product because I wanted accuracy not just the guessing game. I can stand on the scale and get a reading, step off, step on again and get a totally different reading. That is screaming inaccuracy to me. Its easy to set up and use, but who knows if anything it tells you is true or not.

Excellent Scale,

I just purchased my second Homedics SC-560 scale. The first one became inoperative after an accident no scale could be expected to survive (think water, and lots of it).
I had the original for over two years and never once had to change the battery despite using it twice a day. The scale is very accurate to .2 pounds. If one gets off the scale and steps right back on, it will have the exact same weight reading each time. I cannot speak to the accuracy of the body fat analysis as I've never had it measured any other way. That being said, it is very useful in tracking long term trends. For instance, I recently started doing a little weight lifting with my aerobic work, and while my weight has dropped only slightly (a couple pounds), my body fat percentage has dropped about 4 percentage points. The scale is very easy to use and the LCD output is, in my opinion, very easy to read. The new scale, which I just received, seems to be an improved version of the SC-560. It now measures lean muscle mass and bone mass in addition to weight and body fat. It also produces weight and analysis results faster than the older version. All in all, an excellent scale for those who want to measure long term trends of their body composition, or those who simply want fast results with accuracy to a fifth of a pound. Highly recommended.

Do Not Buy Homemedics,

I bought a Homemedics scale about two months ago. The battery runs out about every two weeks. At $3.50 a pop, this scale has become very expensive fast. You call the 800 number and of course they expect a receipt and for me to ship it to them for replacement. Talk about lack of customer service! Terrible company - terrible scale!!!

I researched very carefully and the Homedics SC-560 was recommended and I find it is 3 to 4 lbs off.

I got this for my daughter as a surprise, she was so excited UNTIL she actually used it. It showed her at one weight, she stepped off of it and back on, and it showed another weight. Better yet, she lives in the dorms and took it upstairs and weighed up there and it showed an even different weight! Good grief. It also showed her at an acceptable weight, next then underweight, then the next overweight. So, needless to say after others trying it and getting the same errors, I returned it for my money back. Boo, hiss...can I give it a zero?

It's not that great,
This review is from: HoMedics SC-560 Tri-Fitness HealthStation Body Composition Scanner (Health and Beauty)
I haven't checked how accurate/reproducible is the fat/water percentage reading, but the weight is not that reproducible (in comparison to my non-digital scale). Sometimes I weight myself, check the reading, hold something and check the reading again. Unless I am carrying a weight heavier than 1 lb the scale is not sensitive to my new weight (however, the increments for weight units are as little as .2 lb). If I keep holding more weight, and it registers a new weight, the next reading I have for me is higher/lower than the first reading it displayed. Maybe it has a bad memory.

HoMedics HealthStation Body Fan Analyzer and Scale,

This is the most consistent scale our family has used, down to the tenth of a pound. Using the body fat feature is a little complicated. Nice appearance.
