This is one of the 1st episodes in the series. The show just gets better and better. The two people featured here touched normality in some ways. I've been watching lots of Season 3 episodes and those ppl are just out of their minds something terrible.
Linda was not being fined or arrested by local officials. She needed to clear her house so that she and her husband can split the revenue in a divorce. Her house is the only 1 that I can remember in this series where the hoarding never reached the lawn or patio. It's interesting to me that her narrative does not have a happy ending. Many "Hoarders" episodes include a spouse saying, "I will divorce you if you don't clean up." Linda is not given that ultimatum. It's never implied that she and her husband will ever get back together. Their adult children don't ever imply they would like that result either.
Steven looked like Willie Nelson plus 150 pounds. His story does mention human waste, so be warned. I kinda wonder if 1 of his eyes was lazy, but that's never brought up. I don't want to burst any1's dreams, but I kinda doubt this cleanup will help him to write the Great American Novel. I also wonder if there were some sexual identity issues that either he or the series didn't want to explore. Steven kinda looked like the stereotypical SSI recipient and I don't know if viewers will sympathize with him, despite his being a cuddly teddy bear.
