I bought this to use with my plasma torch. The shade is just right for that. I thought I would need the flip front so I could flip it up to see better. I found that I'm leaving it down most of the time while I'm making machine adjustments or grabbing a hammer, the shade is that light. (which is perfect) The plasma arc was just bothering my eyes a little, and wanted something to remedy that. This product foot the bill perfectly, and Amazon always has great prices.

This seemed like a great idea for goggles for a person who wears glasses. And they do indeed fit over the glasses. However, they don't fit the face very well due to the design. The nose piece -- really just an indentation in the plastic -- is at the level of the bottom of the lens. When I wear the goggles with the nose piece at the bridge of the nose (high enough to keep it from pinching), the bottom of the lens is at pupil height. That eliminates half of the range of vision you need for any kind of work when you might use these goggles. When I move the lens to the correct height to see everything, the nose piece pinches the end of my nose.

I'm returning these goggles.

Bought this for a welding class. It works great when cutting metal and the flip-up feature is much more handy than pulling the goggles up and down.

Purchased these for a welding class I was taking. They met the safety standards for the class.

Used them for one semester and they held up well. They fit my face well and the shade darkness worked well for torch cutting and welding. I like the flip up shade.

My only dislike was the stiffness of the plastic face. The part that touches your face is hard plastic and causes discomfort after a time. It was not that big an issue and I learned to take them off more often.

I used this goggle in a metalsmithing class when I was learning to melt silver in a crucible for the purpose of cuttlefish bone casting. I liked it at that time and was hoping to find one like it. I did and was surprised to see how inexpensive it was. So I ordered two!

Decent goggles for light use. The lens was easily replaceable. The outer shell is pliable and comfortable against the face. Fits nicely over my glasses. The lens holder and flip parts are pretty flimsy plastic, but what do you expect for $12? Be gentle.
