I could have bought a cheaper pair of MIG pliers at the local Chinese tool importer, but I decided to go for better quality and spring for a name brand, hence the purchase of the Hobart tool. I was somewhat disappointed when they arrived. The machining of the needlenose jaws is pretty rough and one jaw looks much thinner than the other. They mesh up okay though, and will do the job. I just expected higher quality. I wish I had bought the cheapo pair, they would be just as good and I could have saved a few bucks.

you know it's cheap when it's sealed in the packaging and there are black pieces of metal or something floating around inside the packaging. I reluctantly give this 3 stars but it will probably work in my home garage. I would NOT buy this if i was going to use this daily or even weekly. The wire cutter section barely cuts my 0.023 mig wire. It will have a harder time with 0.045 i'm sure. My cheap pliers can cut better. The spring that makes it so it stays open is very weak and I see that being a fail spot on it. the jaws to clean the nozzel are OKAY at best. In short, expect this to be something you'd buy at the flea market for $15.00. That's it...

The Hobart welding pliers are more expensive than the cheap knock-offs, but there's a reason for that.

This is a very solid, well-made tool. Smooth to operate and versatile to do all the things required for those of us that use wire welders. If you have a wire welder you NEED this tool.

Buy it. You won't be sorry. Lives up to the Hobart name.

i was expecting for a better product by hobart. finish made very poor. it will do the work you need but....

I got this tool in order to clean my mig wire feeder gun as well as cut mig wire. Well it does everything well except cut mig wire well. I would not recommend this product to anybody. I have a hobart welder, but these pliers do not represent the hobart name well.

This set of pliers arrived well packaged, as described, and in a timely manner. While there are many manufacturers of similar pliers, I've had success with these and keep coming back when it's time for a replacement set.

Hobart, another company that sold out and junk imported from China. COMPLETELY disappointed in this tool, terrible machine quality and made in China. I could have bought the exact same thing without the Hobart name at the local hardware store for 4.99. Hobart lost me as a customer, silly me for looking for American made tools.

I bought these pliers despite some negative reviews about them. I guess I got lucky and got a good pair? Mine work just fine and cut wire really good. I saved money buying these pliers rather than buying another pair at my local welding supply store. If I lost these pliers I would buy them again.

I have used my pliers for a few months now and enjoy how well they perform. The needle contact is mating nicely. The wire cutters close consistent across the face without any gap. The only thing that I wish is that the plier handles grips were of better quality and the reason for the 4-stars instead of 5 stars.

My instructor recommended I purchase this tool to keep my chain links tight on my fire dancing toys before a performance. This is exactly what I needed. This is a heavy-duty, high quality tool.
