Used a fixed lens helmet for 20+ years before finally trying an auto darkening one...don't wait that long. This helmet has every feature you'd want: 4 sensors, grinding setting, adjustable lens and sensitivity dials, and was the only model that Hobart recommends for all types of welding--stick, MIG & TIG. Comfortable and light weight. Being able to see your work clearly until you strike an arc and seeing almost immediately after stopping is well worth the extra money for an auto darkening hood.

I really like this hood as it is very adjustable and has all the features i need including going to 13 shade.
