it doesnt matter which one you get.. as long as it is big enough for your child to fit inside.

first of all it is just cool. It starts out little and when you pick it up is gets REALLY big. The medium ones are big enough for an average sized adult to sit in. When you roll it fast enough it expands.

It is great for imaginitve play. My daughter (3) likes to use it as a "cage" for her toy animals... or herself when she is pretending to be a dog or something. Sometimes she just sits in it to watch TV.
Its a neat toy for ages 2-7. Kids older than that will think it's neat, but I cant see them using it as much.

Special Gift Idea:
I have a cousin in-law (she is in her late teens) who is mentally handicapped. I showed her the ball and she went ecstatic. She played with it for about an hour. I'm going to get her one of the HUGE (60$) models for christmas because she will be able to fit into that one.
If you happen to know someone like that this is the ULTIMATE gift. Number 1 recomendation of any toy Ive ever seen for that catagory.

Keep this toy on hand if terrorized by roaming packs of wild dogs. My dog, a real meanie when it comes to people, runs away in terror from this toy that expands as it bounces in his direction.

I have two toddler boys who get a great kick out of this toy ... not to mention my husband who loves it just as much! When playing with the Hoberman Sphere they are very engaged in trying to figure out how it works, you can almost see the little wheels in their brain turning. They try many different things with it and it keeps their imaginations flowing! We have had this for over a year and they still love playing with it!

My son loved this toy. A friend of ours daughter had this and he loved playing with it. I looked for it everywhere. Walmart, Toysrus and finally found it on Amazon. Good price as well. We bought it for him for his 8th Birthday. I even play with it myself.

Nice to have a toy that doesn't require batteries! This is such a simple toy. I couldn't find this anywhere in stores and was so excited to find in on Amazon. My son saw it in a movie and wanted one for Christmas. It's a good size and glows!! When other kids come over they are interested in playing with it too.

My 4 year old just loves this toy! He plays with it all the time. He easily fits inside it and loves the glow in the dark effect. Awesome!

I am 12 years old and when I was about 8 I saw it in the science store at my mall and I wanted it really bad. I never got one, but I do remember it was really cool. Read the other review. It probably tells more about it.
