end result...boat looked great and it does sail.
but. . . wow was it difficult. directions were old and out of date. there was a diagram, but NO photos of how to assemble as you were building. The supply list was very incomplete. I do have past experience building models, but this one took the cake for difficulty. I used clothes pins to hold the hull bracing and I used a glue gun, as to you needing it to set up faster than regular glue. You definitely need someone else to help while your working on the bracing in the hulls, working with the bowing of the wood -you need 4 hands. Good luck with this model. I was very proud of my end result -but I went through many aggravating days to get there! took about 30 to 40 hrs to complete (maybe a bit more because there was 2 people working on it).

This kit is the first one I have ever assembled. I found the instructions difficult to follow and don't understand why one side of both of the hulls are two pieces. I bought this as a pond sailer but was dissapointed to find out in order to sail it I needed to purchase weights which were not included in the kit. It has taken me along time to put together. It has kept me busy so in that respect it was good. But I beleive the average person will not have the clamps clothespins wood sealer epoxy glue ect... to put this together. Add another 20.00 to price! I might buy this again after making all the mistakes with the first attempt. If you buy this model take your time and don't assume that because pieces are laser cut that they are correct. Be prepared to sand,sand,sand.....Finished kit and it sailed! Used pine box derby weights and tons of expoxy glue but finished product not bad.
