On the right bike - very confortable,
I have about 75 miles on this saddle now, having tried in on two different bikes. The two bikes gave me different experiences.
This seat is great of your bike is a little too large for you. It doesn't work too well if the bike is a little too small for you. The most comfortable position is to be almost leaning against the saddle vs. sitting atop it. So if the bike is big enough to allow you to scootch forward on the saddle and still extend your legs, you will probably like the saddle. But if you have to sit up on the saddle, it might be a little annoying to you. The pads tended to rub my thighs when I sat atop the saddle, plus they move up/down slightly when peddling, a sensation that I don't care for. Other positives - the rails are very long allowing lots of seat positions. Seems to be pretty well made. Negatives - If you like the seat adjusted to be very wide, the seat will probably squeek if you weigh more than 150 lbs. The squeak goes away when the pads a postioned close to each other. Bottom line: at about $50 it is a fairly expensive experiement. I was lucky -it didn't work well for the original bike I tried it on, but it works very well on my large cruiser bike.

I have used earlier versions of the split seat, and enjoyed them. This model is even better. I rode this model on my touring bike last year on a 2450 mile ride down the east coast (Maine to Key West, FL), so decide to get another for my other bike.

In the summer of 2009 I started doing more bike riding again as my two daughters were old enough to start getting in to riding. By summer's end, however, I noticed a lingering pain at the base of my coccyx. I rode my mountain bike to work and back one time, 11 miles each way, and was in enough pain at the end of it that I decided no more riding for me for awhile, and I was using a Specialized ergonomic seat. Then in the spring of 2010 I discovered the Easy Seat and thought it looked like the answer to my coccyx pain. I ordered four, one for each in my family. My 8-year-old daughter likes her basic Easy Seat. My 6-year-old daughter had trouble with hers because her butt isn't wide enough to fill the seat, so I replaced her stock saddle but will keep her Easy Seat for when she gets bigger. My wife likes her Easy Seat II, but said she could go either way (her Marin Kentfield came with a really comfortable Marin saddle). I bought a new bike, a Cannondale Cyclocross 6, and replaced its God-awful seat with the Easy Seat II. I have since been on two 11-mile rides in addition to several shorter rides as I prepare the bike and me for commuting. There has been zero pain at the base of my coccyx--none. Hallelujah! The one drawback to this seat is that, when the leg extends down during pedaling, it nudges the sit-bone on that side forward just a bit. After several strokes, I find that I'm sitting too far forward on the seat and need to push myself back. Right now, it's either that or not ride because of the pain, so I'll stick with the Easy Seat II for the time being.

Easy Seat II is outstanding,

I've owned an Easy Seat II for 4 years, and an original Easy Seat before that. The only problem with the original Easy Seat was that it is rock hard. It supports you well, but gets uncomfortable. The Easy seat II is just outstanding though. It DOES take some adjustment to get it angled 'just right', but once you do, it can't be beat. My only caution is to NOT give up on it - make adjustments for height, separation (width,) and angle first, and get used to using it.
Note that the lack of a horn does impact bike control a bit, but I find that an easy price to pay when the price otherwise is numbness and tingling.

I like this seat a lot. The pressure is on the sit bones and not on other more sensitive areas. My brother has one too and he recommended it to me. So it's great for both men and women!

Purchased the seat for my wife, who has had poor results in finding a bike seat that produced the comfort she desired in riding her bike. The
first time she took a test-ride, she was thrilled with the seat. As a result I tried it, and purchased a second Hobson Easyseat II...it is great and have recommended it to others. A great product - thanks!

This seat may allow my wife to ride a bike again after 5 years without . Her severe nerve damage in and around her bum has caused incredible pain and suffering for the last 5 years. Her dream was to be able to ride her bicycle again so we are all hoping this seat is the answer. Her first test ride had moderate success but with a few adjustments she should be able to start when short rides. I hope this helps others who have similar problems.

Great Upgrade From The Original Easyseat,

I purchased a lightly used original Hobson Easyseat last year on eBay because I wasn't sure if I would like this type of seat, so I didn't want to invest a lot of money in case I didn't like it. I ride a Trek 7300 hybrid bike and the original seat that came on it, was causing numbness in a place guys don't really want numbness. The original Easyseat was a huge improvement over the original seat, the only thing with this type of seat without a horn, is you can't ride without hands, but I don't do that anyway. The down side of the original Easyseat was that the pads are a little longer and have less padding, so after a while (20 miles), the pads would dig into the back of my thighs and it became uncomfortable to sit on. I decided to spend the money and upgrade to the Easyseat II. The pads are shorter and the Easyseat II has a considerable more amount of padding, so the problems I had with the original Easyseat are no more. I just rode three hours today with no problems at all, and I was very comfortable. If you're considering a horn-less type of seat, the extra cost for the Easyseat II is well worth it in my opinion. I don't think I'll ever go back to a standard bike seat!
