I recently went to the factory store and bought some Hodgepodge. The family thinks it is great, misshappen and pieces taste the same as the perfect creations. There was a big variety in these bags, the kids liked the gummy items, candy corn in different shapes, the soft mint disks were great, the berries and some undefinable sour chewy candy. All in all everyone loved it as much as the beans.

We enjoyed the bag of Hodge Podge we received from Jelly Belly outlet. It didn't last long in this house! ;)

I brought a bag of Hodgepodge into the office last week. The stuff went like... well, candy! The wide selection of your confections was a huge hit! It made me the man of the hour. Thanks.

I bought 3 bags of hodgepodge, hoping for a good variety...so much for that. All 3 bags were identical, about 2/3 full of fruit gems, the other 1/3 being a mix of cinnamun jelly hearts, pectin jelly beans, and what I believe were rejected gummy slugs from Jelly Belly's Harry Potter line. The fruit gems seemed old, they were mostly rather hardened, not the nice soft fruit gems you can buy in stores. The cinnamon hearts were also rather hard, for the most part, though they seemed a bit fresher than the fruit gems. The jelly beans were the only thing in the mix really worth the effort -- not as good as the regular Jelly Bellies, but good. The gummy slugs were absolutely repulsive...they were much waxier than normal gummy candy, forming a rather nasty-feeling substance that sticks to your teeth, and they tasted horrible, like some sort of cleaning product. I ended up picking out the jelly beans and tossing the rest....NOT worth the money! If you can pick your own hodgepodge at an outlet store, go for it, but I highly reccommend NOT buying through the mail!

One of the definitions of "hodgepodge" is "a motley assortment of things". If you order this, you should know that you will get "A mixture of dissimilar ingredients". And remember that you are ordering from an outlet store, so you'll get whatever they have an overrun of at the time. That's why there are question marks on the picture at the top of the page - it's a mystery!! I got 2 bags of "hodge podge" by mistake when ordering fruit gems. Jelly Belly corrected this error by sending me my missing fruit gems, and letting me keep the hodgepodge. Our mix included 'traditional' jelly beans (not jelly bellies!), some cinnamon hearts, some gummi alligators or something (maybe they're bertie botts jelly slugs?), and some fruit gems. I took the hodgepodge to a reunion kind of event with a dozen kids and a dozen parents. The kids ate this right up. Most of them preferred the fruit gems/slices (as did I). The gummis were okay. The jelly beans were not spectacular, basically what you could buy in any old store. I separated out the cinnamon hearts so they didn't overwhelm the other flavors and since many young kids don't like cinnamon flavored stuff.I think they should change the name of this so "fruit gem" isn't in it. It seems to be misleading people, based on the reviews. But the bottomline is: if you're willing to be adventurous and you're already ordering other things, add this to your cart - you might be pleasantly surprised!

HELLO! You're buying factory rejects, and you're complaining about the variety in your order? This is how the company gets rid of the imperfect candy that comes off the line...they don't care whether you're satisfied with it or not! In fact, it would be thrown away if they didn't have suckers like you to pay for it! GEESH!

The product was packaged nicely and arrived in exclent conditon. It didi not have as large of a variety of candy that I expected. Overall this is a good value from a great company.

The Hodgepodge is alright. I put the whole bag out for Christmas and it was gone. The candy in the bag was a little weird. I got a lot of Licorice gummy bears and cherry lips. Must be Valentines candy. It was fresh candy and quite a mix of things. I wanted some sunkiss jellys but did not get any of those. We prefer the Jelly Belly mix but the company was out of those bags.

This is my second purchase of the hodge podge mixture. I find it fantastic in its wide assortment of types, sizes and flavors. It is also a very good value.
