Hefty, yes...,

I have mixed feelings about my rolling pin. The weight of it is certainly substantial enough to flatten dough. I do find that the dough often sticks to the metal, but flour won't. I spend half the time peeling my dough off of the pin. If the dough is the right temperature, and maybe if you refrigerate the pin, you may have a better time than I did. I do love the fact that it can be hung out of the way, because it is large. Overall, I will sometimes still grab my old fashioned wooden rolling pin. It may take a little more effort, but it can sometimes be less aggrivating.

Hoffritz Stainless Steel Hanging Rolling Pin I found this nice to work with easy to clean. The only flaw is it came apart while using within the first 5 minutes. This could be a serious problem if you have small children as they could pull it apart and it could pierce a person. It appears the end tabs should be glued to prevent this from happening. Nice heavy weight roller just bad planning to keep it together, It is an easy roller for dough and yes dough will stick to it, a little pam solves that problem. The price is okay and I recommend it over a wooden roller.
