I recently saw the Band from TV in concert, which is what made me so excited that this CD/DVD was coming out. It is so much fun to hear and see your favorite TV stars in a new element, singing and playing instruments. It's so obvious that they are having the time of their lives performing in this band, and it's even better that the proceeds go to charity. I have the CD on repeat and the DVD features bring the band to life. Get your hands on this great combo set immediately!

Band From TV is a collection of actors who dabble in music, plus a few professional musicians to fill in the gaps in talent. You won't likely hear any of these songs played on your local radio station; however, that's not to say that it's bad. These folks are actually better than most of the garage bands that we remember from high school or college. This is something of a unique concept because all of the profit from the sales of this CD/DVD combo are being donated to charity organizations (watch the special features on the DVD to find out more). The DVD contains a live concert performed in front of an audience and the CD that goes with it was recorded lives as well - although there is one song on the CD which was not on the DVD. The 13 songs on the CD are a combination of Pop, R&B, and Country tunes that are well known. They range from somewhat current, Garth Brooks' "Papa Loved Mama", to Golden Oldies, The Kink's "You Really Got Me", and Elvis' "Viva Las Vegas". There is such a variety of songs in this colletion that everyone should like at least two of the them. I recommend watching the DVD first because there are moments that happen on the stage between numbers that are truly magic and do not translate well on the CD. Bottom line on this one is it's worth the money if you can accept the fact that these are less than perfect performances from part-time musicians who wanted to have some fun and raise money for worthy charities at the same time. The CD would be great for parties!

I was privileged to be able to attend the taping of this CD in a state-of-the-art sound studio near Los Angeles. The live sound was lush and vibrant, the best I have ever heard, and the band had great rapport with the audience. These qualities of great sound and a vivacious performance come through in the CD, making it very enjoyable. I recommend it.

The information that is missing from this download page is that all the proceeds go to charity. What a great way for this talented group of people to give back in music and charitable contributions. Download the album,it's a win-win situation. Fun music sung by your favorite celebrities and you're donating to charity. Thanks Amazon.com and Band From TV for doing this! :)

I LOVE this CD!!! Just one of those CD's you can listen to 200 times and you wont get sick of.. It makes me want to put on my dancing shoes and dance!!

It makes me feel great to download music when I know the proceeds are going to charity. And of course since one of the band members crashed an airplane onto the island of "Lost", its gotta be cool. Looking forward to seeing them live on Nov. 21st in Madison, Wisconsin!

I liked this product. The musicians/singers have a good time and enjoy themselves so it is easy to enjoy their passion for what they are doing. My personal favorite is Goodnight Irene, love how fun it is and it feels like a group of friends just sitting around playing together. I like the DVD that accompanies the CD so I can put faces with voices. Would recommend this if you like something fun and not predictable.

"Hoggin all the Covers" is most Def a Must have CD/DVD! After waiting nearly 2 years for the release, I have to say its even better then I expected. The playlist is a great mix of covers that I might add the band Covers very well! The DVD is the best! They have Interviews with some of my favorite stars, backstage fun and so much more. The band gets up close and personal! I would recommend this CD to anyone plus the best part of it all is they donate 100% of their proceeds to Charity!!!

Love the music. Downloaded this morning to iTunes and made playlist for iPod. I played the music all the way to work.
