Simply Amazing!,

This review is from: Air Hogs RC Zero Gravity Wall Climber- Camouflage (27 Mhz) (Toy)
I was skeptical when my son asked for this toy. I was sure that it would leave sticky marks on my walls or use magnets or some other trick to climb on the wall. Not at all, it uses some amazing vacuum thing and doesn't leave a mark. It's actually quite incredible to watch. Parents should know that if all their walls have grounding or trim, kids will want to tape the ramp that come with it to the floor or the wall to work best, but again, It is quite amazing. My son drives it up doors and other area without trim. It actually seems to get better after several charges too, I'm not sure why, but it works better now, than it did when we first got it. Great toy, amazing technology, well done!

Most kid's won't play long with a toy with this many "variables",

First note: that, if you have a very flat surface (wall) and charge it completely and keep the wheels clean, and have room to drive around pictures and doors. You will be very, very happy with this toy. Completely awesome....No marks on walls.
So why did I rate it 1 star? Because KIDS There are A LOT of variables that have to be in place, and a lot of no-no's that can make this toy a real bummer. Kid's don't want to have to think about the different variables, they want to grab the toy and drive it everywhere! Smallest of problems, continuoulsy happening, and they will stop playing with it. It will be one of those toys that sits on the shelf for enjoyment once in a blue moon. Because it is really cool, when it works. So, take a carefull look at your house. What kind of carpet, baseboards, and doors? Need to be smooth. Then consider how much furniture there is against the walls and space around doors, window, pictures, etc. for driving. And know your kids: Will they take into consideration the variables and how easily do they get frustrated? Kid's will want to drive this on the walls. If you interupt the suction, the car will fall or slide down. And it won't be an all terrain vehicle when on the floor. Better to get an R/C that is for off road and they can ride it over the couch cushions, toys, and other obsticles, maybe not up walls...but they have more fun and less issues and will play with it much more.

Great Toy! Porsche guys like it!,

My son saw the TV add for this toy several weeks ago and I went and bought it at a local retailer for him for Chrirstmas. (My wife and I do not like to wait to the last minute). I was looking around online yesterday and came across the reviews of the toy on Toys R Us and was a little concerned about the review posted saying that the toy was a failure. That is the last thing I need on Christmas day! So I took it to work with me this morning to see if there is any problems. (I work at a local Porsche Garage) After a complete charging the toy worked great! Like everyone says the flatter the surface the better. All the guys at the shop were very impressed with the design and engineering that went into creating this toy. That hard part was getting it away from the guys so it would not be all scratched up before I could give it to my son. So, I am glad I tested the toy in advance and it seems to work great, I am glad I bought it I am sure it will be a hit. And, no it did not mark up the walls.

My son saw this toy advertised on TV. He begged us to buy it for his birthday. Well, we are here to tell you that he went nuts! He is showing it to all his friends and bragging that he is the first to get it. My wife was very apprehensive at first because we have pictures on the wall. My son was able to drive around the pictures without any disasters. She was also afraid of it leaving marks, but she was relieved to see none. We did discover that the charging has to be complete for best results.

Most exciting toy technology in years!!!,
This review is from: Air Hogs RC Zero Gravity Wall Climber- Camouflage (27 Mhz) (Toy)
Well just when you thought they could not reinvent the wheel, someone comes along and suprises you! For years the only new thing in radio controlled cars were for them to make them "more extreme" which meant they made them larger, louder and uglier. This toy though is something else. It actually drives on the wall! I must have taken a lot of time and energy to get this right but it sure works great. I have found that the smoother the wall the better. And it Does Not mark up the walls. Just try to avoid running over items when it is on the wall as it will loose it "downforce". They toy is very durable so it should provide a lot of fun for a long time.

I want to preface this review by saying I chose one star for each because I HAD to. If they had an option for 0 stars or even NEGATIVE stars I would have choosen that.
I am VERY dissapointed. And so will my son be on Christmas morning. This is the only thing my son has asked for for Christmas. I was so excited yesterday when me and my husband did our Christmas shopping for him and found it and bought it. I did read the reviews here first though and was kind of leery. We shouldnt have even wasted our time. We brought it home and followed all the directions for set up ect. It didnt work. It would NOT climb the wall. We set up a little ramp for it. All that did was make it stand on end and then fall over backwards. We tried to stick it to the wall but it kept sliding back down. We charged it for awhile and tried again. Same results. We let it charge AT LEAST 20 hours. SAME RESULTS! I am so glad we tested this before Christmas morning. It is going to be a BIG let down for my son already but thankfully Christmas morning can be saved with something better that actually works. Besides all this there are WAY too many variables for this thing to be fun should it even work. You have to be 6 feet back from the wall, you cant run over anything. NO obstacles at all...not even on the floor. It wouldnt even go over the CARDBOARD we put down as a ramp. The bottom of it is made with syrofoam with some kind of plasic over it and the car part is a very light weight plastic. I suppose it would have to be should it ever make it up the wall but it looks and feels VERY cheap considering how much it costs. If it actually worked that in itself might make up for the cheap make up of the toy. There is something about walls with or without baseboards and floors with or without carpeting. Basically, you have to get ALL variables right for the car to even attempt to make it up the wall. And even then it doesnt happen. Save your money and buy something else. Not only will I never buy a product like this but now I know I can not trust the Air Hogs brand. This waste of money, time, and stress is going back to the store TODAY! My son choose this over a Game Boy which he decided to save for his birthday. Now I am not sure what we will get him.

I purchased this for my grandson's birthday. When his mom was telling me about it- I was skeptical as to how it could really work. To everyone's amazement it worked and EVERYONE wanted to play with it! It does use alot of battery power when climbing the walls however. I don't know how durable it is yet because he hasn't had it long enough. I do think it was pricey- especially if you consider a second battery might be needed (I am assuming they are available-but not sure). Overall it is a blast-great fun to play with and watch- the talk of my grandson's birthday party!

I purchased this toy early to be sure of getting one. Looked really cool in commercials and son immediately wanted it. Decided I had better check it out before Christmas morning, especially after reading some of the other reviews.
The car does stick to the wall well (even on slightly textured walls - I tried on both smooth wall and sand textured wall). However, you cannot steer it. No matter what I did with the controls, it would just sort of slide sideways and not go where you were directing it. It slowly made it's way down the wall with a side-tilt to the right (must be where the batter is inside it - FYI this is not a removable battery, you just plug the charger into the vehicle). As I cannot see that this is going to be any fun for a child to attempt to drive and very frustrating, this toy is going back. I am very glad we didn't find this out Christmas morning.

We purchased this item for our son's birthday, but decided to test it before hand to see and hear things for ourselves. The conclusion...this "toy" is worthless and we returned it! Let us begin this review by stating we have VERY smooth painted walls and tested this item for an entire battery charge. The fact is that it will only run on very smooth floors (i.e., wood & some tile), is loud just driving it normally...but when it attempts to climb and the fans kick in...WOW! During our test we attempted to run it across our wood floors (it did fine), into a wall without any trim (it slowly began to tilt upward), and this is where it stayed! It was unable to climb without assistance. Once it got going, it could not sustain itself and continually kept sliding back down the wall. This was in a straight line! Anytime you attempted to make any turn it slid drastically or fell off the wall. Great idea for a toy, but horribly designed.

I purchased this for my son for Christmas because he really wanted it. On Christmas eve, I unpacked it so that it could charge fully before he got hold of it. Christmas morning, after charging for about 24 hours, it was a huge disapointment. It would NOT climb the walls. It would stand on its end and make lots of noise. Even when placed on the wall, it wouldn't stick. Fortunately, there were other gifts we bought for my son that took his attention away from this miserable toy, and he wasn't too disapointed. Save your time and money.
