If it says hogue on it rest assured its gonna be worth the money and then some I have hogue grips on my 1911, remington 870, and now my ak worth every penny, Im anxious to see the new handguards for the ak out in february, safe to say ill be a hogue customer for life

I purchased this item which was shipped from HPP enterprises on late 01/09/2011 and recieved it via UPS on 1/12/2011.I'm very inpressed with the speedy shipping. However,I thought the grip would have a storage compartment in the Grip for misc things, and it does'nt.There is just a open space (hollow inside) in middle of the grip. No biggie, it's still worth the $20.00 I paid for it. As far as how I like the grip, I like it. It feels solid and compfortable to the touch. Especially if you have large hands. One thing to keep in mind for new buyers on this item for their AK, is that when you're installing it, there is a nut that helps hold the grip to the gun inside the receiver that will fall into the receiver if you're holding the rifle upside down when unscrewing the bolt to take off the stock grip. If this happen to you,simply remove the dust cover and spring to replace the nut to where it needs to be. It can be a pain. Other than that, it's all good.

I had the WASR10 "dragunov" style thumb hole stock and the tapco synthetic classic style pistol grip and then... this grip. It made the entire weapon a different (Better) weapon. The single most effective and immediately obvious upgrade I've ever made to a weapon. You could pay way more and get way less.

Coverted my Saiga 7.62x39 and used this US Made grip which is great.
Feels much better than any other grip out there.

So I know this IS the best grip you could possibly have for an AK or any other system but...This thing gave me so much flack installing it. I heard I might come across some problems installing it but didn't figure it would require some thinking...jaded I guess. That being said it would not seat flush with bottom of the gun and was real shaky when tightened. So I used washers, nuts, filed the bolt provided by Hogue down; no dice. I read a review posted on Amazon about this same grip telling me to reverse the nut inside the gun that holds the bolt in place and to the gun and then screw it in. When I say the nut in the gun I don't mean a hexagon shaped nut but the square looking piece you unscrew the original grip and bolt out of. Switch that piece around 180 degrees and try it! It might look really weird to be screwing it in this way to start off with but right as rain it will work and fit snug! Tapco or Hogue needs to get this process together; or at least give some type of disclaimer in the instructions about it. Great grip, even better shipping. Long live the republic.

The grip feels nice and comfortable in your hand. Good Choice to buy! My boyfriend loved it and the rubber grip looks nice on his AK47.

A very well made grip, worth the money, but I bought it for my amd 65, and due to the folding stock button, it would not fit. It did however fit perfect on my wasr 10. Excellent quality.

this is a good modification to an ak in my opinion. it's a very comfortable grip for big hands and has a rubber feel. the stock grip is too small for me. it would be hard to lose grip even if your hands are wet. only problem i had was after installing the grip, it was very loose and i was very pissed. so i thought of turning the triangular nut that comes with the grip around backwards on my WASR 10 to see how that would work and have not had any problems. it is very tight and has no play.

I got this grip for my Century Arms WASR-10/63 AK because the stock grip stinks in my opinion. The only issue is that when I tried to do the install the grip didn't fit flush against the trigger housing and rifle frame. The problem was that the TAPCO brand nut that comes with your WASR is a bit too long and so the grip won't sit flush. All I did was remove the nut and ground the end down about 1/8 inch and then installed it again. Now it fits perfect and looks great! Good investment for the money. The WASR 10/63 is a dirty old pig of a rifle right out of the box so why not put a little lipstick on'er and take her out for a spin?

Major improvemnet over the original grip. Didnt come with mounting screw, had to go on a scavenger hunt at home depot to find one that would fit. If not for that i would have given it five stars.
