I ordered this grip to upgrade the stock plastic grip on my Smith & Wesson M+P 15-22. I'm very impressed with its fit and feel on the rifle. It's very easy to replace (5-10 minutes)and didn't require any modification to the rifle whatsoever. It's got a great feel in the hand with just the right amount of stickyness. It also makes the rifle feel more substantial in your hands. All you need is an extra-long 3/16 Allen Wrench (bought a set at Home Depot for less than $4). Just unscrew the existing bolt. Loosen the bolt slowly so you can keep an eye out for the trigger and safety springs which recess into the lower receiver and the grip itself. If you're not careful, they'll pop out. Keep an eye on which holes the springs come out of. On my 15-22, one spring is blue and the other plain silver (this might vary on your rifle), so make sure you put them back into the correct slots. Snug down the Hogue, and you're good to go! It's a very inexpensive mod with a great look, feel and function.

This grip is much better than the stock plastic grip that comes on the AR. Rubber grip provides better handling, you feel like you have a great hold on the rifle. Not too rubbery that it sweats in your hand and grabs on clothing. Nice texture, easy install.

Wow, what a difference this makes. I replaced the factory grip on my DPMS and the Hogue grip fits and feels perfect. This is one upgrade that you can do in about 3 minutes. Just make sure you don't lose the little spring when you take the factory grip off.

I bought this grip to replace the stock one on my Smith and Wesson M&P 15.I am a big fan of Hogue grips overall, as I've replaced the stock grips of all of my various firearms with them. The texture and feel of this grip is much more ergonomic, with the finger grooves making for a much more natural grip on the weapon. The rubberized surface also makes it easier to control and hold the gun with wet or sweaty hands. Highly recommended for anyone with an AR/M16/M4 style rifle.

Ok first thing's first. I'm a first time AR owner and have only fired a couple rounds out of one ever before owning this one.. so of course I was tickled pink with the standard plastic checkered DPMS handle. Felt good to me, and felt kinda like an AK so I definitely liked it. I was a little leary if getting the finger grooves thinking it might not feel so great but all I can say is wow. If you have an AR you already know and if you just bought one and are in the boat I was in just curious if it's worth the money to try it, then DO IT. Just like the other reviews.. not too soft or hard, not too grippy or slippy.. not to big or too small. OK this is starting to sound bad. Anyway it's awesome and I know everyone knows this but to the new guy out there who may read this just click the buy button already. You will never look back again once you step up to this very inexpensive high quality grip. I wouldn't have thought it, but just the grip makes SUCH a difference in the look of the rifle alone.. not to mention it just melts into your hand.. feels so good. I'm convinced now you can't own an AR without a Hogue. Main thing I'd tell people is the picture doesn't do it justice, it's at a bad angle... I almost didn't buy it because it looks straight cut and flat on the side in the pic to me. It's not. It has a perfect palm contour ambidextriously so I can hand this off to my lefty buddy and he'll get the same great feel I do. Very pleased.

Fits and feels fantastic on my M&P 15-22. Super easy installation. Loosen the bolt and remove the grip slowly to keep track of the springs, simply put the spring back and tighten the screw. It's that easy. The feel is absolutely perfect. The rubber is not too soft to where it feels cheap, but it's also not hard like plastic or metal, it's just right. This is definitely worth the money.

Good grip- Feels good and hits the hand well. Fit my AR-15 perfect.

I purchased a bushmaster carbon-15. Good shooting weapon, but very plain with the basic plastic grip. Purchased this item for myself for Christmas. Easy installation and improves feel of weapon 100%. Haven't shot it yet, but this is a great pistol grip for an affordable price!

Installed the Hogue grips on both my Bushmaster M4 and my Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22 and they make a huge difference in comfort. I would highly recommend them for anyone who has an AR type rifle.

I installed this grip on the Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22 .22 LR rifle (AR-15 platform) and the grip went on without any hitches. It's the perfect grip for this rifle and makes shooting a lot more comfortable. S&W should have this grip installed from the factory like they do on many of their other firearms.

A note to M&P and possibly other AR15 rifles: When your removing your stock grip place the rifle upside down and be careful not to loose the 2 springs and 2 pins that are in there (one set is for the safety/fire mechanism and the other set is for the takedown pin). I will attach a youtube video that I found on the grip removal (If for some reason it doesn't post then just search - "Smith&Wesson M&P15-22 Instructional Series: Grip Removal" on youtube and that should get you there.
