Folks, do not waste money on this piece of garbage. Save the money and get a Special 20. I've had the Dylan harmonica for two weeks and it is just terrible. The sound is weak, and I find I have to work hard to produce the kind of sound that is easily produced on less expensive harps. I did an A/B test with my Special 20, and the 20 has a far superior sound.

An overpriced Hohner, yes, but I have no problems with that: I like Dylan and bought it because I wanted it.

The outrageous cost of international shipping by the seller (not Amazon), on the other hand, is criminal. I should have checked the local music shops where they had the same item for less than what I paid for the item plus shipping.

Most of the other reviews I have read on this item have been negative. Now let me say something positive.

I love my Bob Dylan harmonica. I bought it today at Sam Ash, and have vowed to never purchase another harp again. In other words, I now have twenty-seven harps, and that's my limit. My arsenal is complete, and I desire to purchase no more harps.

As far as the harp and its packaging, it couldn't be any better. I love how it looks and sounds.

I feel this is the ultimate collector's harp. If you want the hand signed single or multiple sets, go ahead. Beware though, the hand signed instruments are MUCH more expensive than this. A single hand signed harp goes for $750. The hand signed set goes for an insane $25K.

If you seriously play harmonica like I do, and want a real showpiece, this is it.

We bought this item for our son who is in the Navy, likes to play music, has little storage space and likes Bob Dylan. It was a big hit with him, and he said he can't wait to come home and play us some songs.

Received my Dylan harmonica today. A bit pricey but superb sound and quality. Worth every penny. Couldn't be happier! If your a Dylan fan, buy it! You won't be sorry!

This Harmonica is basically a Marine Band as far as I can tell. Which, is a very nice Harmonica and good value. Lots of pros play them and love them. This is a little more special, has a cool collector appeal to it, and plays, feels, and looks very nice. I paid $59 with free shipping on Amazon and it was a great deal. For $109, well that's what you pay for a limited addition which is a bit pricey but worth it if you like something different and unique. Certainly not outrageous, but at $60 a very good value. The people on here that give it a 1 star, well, I have one thing to say. If you don't like Dylan that much then don't buy the damn thing. Otherwise, shut up and buy something else and let others enjoy what they enjoy.

A wonderful professional Hohner harmonica, made in Germany with fine craftsmanship and very rich bright sound in key of C.
My musician husband was delighted to receive this as a gift, and began playing it immediately.
Well made, attractively packaged, and a limited edition series make this a special gift! Recommended!!

I'm a huge Bob Dylan fan, which makes this all the more embarrassing.

Buy a $30 harmonica with a manufactured signature on it for over 3-times the original price. Ebay fodder. Junk.

Naming a harmonica after Bob Dylan is like naming a basketball after Stephen Hawking.

Then again, there's a certain symbolic significance to trying to elevate this mediocre, overpriced product by naming it thus.

First things first. For all the cheap wads out there thats saying the price is to much and all that crap about Bob being money crazy like all the others and all that junk, you are just jealous that your not as great as Bob Dylan and your name inst worth crap. This thing is priced very well considering that this harp was designed by BOB DYLAN and has 24K gold plated reed plates and sounds AMAZING. Buy this harp. any true harp player and a true Bob Dylan fan will love this.
