great start!
Well my edition must be older, no harmonica and I got 3 tapes but it's the same BOOK. This book has about an easy 30 songs in both straight harp and then same songs but composed using "note-bending" for a more bluesy sound. It covers history, types, care, a lot of tunes you will know so it's an easier start. I wished it had some bob dylan or stevie wonder but guess then...

No.
I know hohner makes good harmonicas, but this one was a cheap piece. It had two off reeds when I first got it. Not even worth trying to fix. The book's ok, but there are better.

Well my edition must be older, no harmonica and I got 3 tapes but it's the same BOOK. This book has about an easy 30 songs in both straight harp and then same songs but composed using "note-bending" for a more bluesy sound. It covers history, types, care, a lot of tunes you will know so it's an easier start. I wished it had some bob dylan or stevie wonder but guess then you get into royalties and higher prices follow. Covers a lot of theory(I-IV-V) and playing on the tapes will aid when you don't know a song. This is a HOHNER book so it has to be good, I mean, look at their harmonicas- they don't build junk!
