We bought this whistle for my son because he loves whistles, music and such. While my son enjoys the product, if he drops it the whistles breaks off into two pieces. Now we can easily snap it back together and it works again just like new, but it is a bit frustrating. I understand the need to take the mouth piece off for cleaning and such, but the design of the product should allow for it to be removed, but with a little more action required to do so. Maybe the piece could twist on an off allowing it to stay on when dropped as opposed to popping off? All in all i would recommend that someone buys the product, but i couldn't give it 5 stars because it annoys me that the whistle will break apart so easily.
Just to notate, when the whistle breaks apart it is not forever broken. It can be reattached to the body of the whistle. It was designed to pull apart for cleaning. Also, the product does not appear to be a safety hazard when it is in two pieces. The pieces are big enough to not cause a choking hazard.
