The Pro Harp MS is the result of Hohner's automated Modular System (MS) production. It features improved reed design for long life and bright tone, airtight body for increased volume, contoured covers that project sound and are comfortable to hold. Replacement reed plates are available (RP565 MS Replacement Reed Plates - product# 421174) and are easy to install. Plastic comb.

People say these sound the same as the lower model, they do make the same notes, but they are much smoother and easier to play. I ordered a G also, and they are both very very smooth. It's totally worth the 10 more dollars in my opinion. And yes, it's a black METAL case, not the plastic - FYI.

So I never used many harps and this is actually my first one. I liked it, so I was like "Okay let me get another key, but let me also get another brand/make to compare it to..."

The other brand/make wasn't as good, in fact it was kind of cheaply made even though I paid the same for it, so based off of that AND how it plays (very smooth), I can safely say Hohner's Pro Harps are a winner.

I didn't see much reviews covering this very important detail, but I have a mustache and beard, and this harp does NOT pull hairs out or anything. The cover plates, reed plates, and comb are all flushly fitted together so there are no spaces for hairs to get stuck inside and pulled out. Definitely a plus and something I was worried about when searching here on amazon..

But I'm a newbie. Maybe none of the harmonicas are like that. I just KNOW about this one.
