Doesn't pick up pet hair,
By Debbie (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Hoky PowerRotor PR2400 Sweeper
We were not at all happy with this item. It did not do what it said it would. I wanted something to pick up pet hair. Hoky suggested a different model which we also tried. Not so good either. We ended up with a Bissell at half the price and it does a great job. If you buy one be sure you understand two things. Check to see if the site will return your money if you are not happy with the product. The place we got if from wouldn't. Amazon took care of the problem. Second, the handle is really hard to take appart if you want to send it back.

My wife loves this sweeper. She volunteers weekly at the used furniture store of local charity. Among her various duties, she sweeps the floor. She didn't like having to jocky around their power vacuum so she started taking our HOKY 2400. She says that it did a better job than their vacuum and was much easier to use and get around all of the furniture. I use it some, myself, around the house and it picks up as much as the vacuum does.

This unit has rubber blades, not brushes!,

Long story short...this unit doesn't work half as good as the original one that has brushes. I should have known better than to order the new improved product. Just think about a brush picking up something versus a rubber blade knocking something around, but not able to pick it up. The original is the one to buy. We ordered this one to replace the original that was 10 years old. The brush finally wore some over ten years. We made a mistake thinking the rubber blades would work. Stick with the original which is still sold. This one will probably be dropped from the Hoky line as the complaints come in.
