An Extremely Nice Book on Holbein
This is an extremely nice (and LARGE) book on Holbein the Younger. Filled with large, full color plates. No art lover can afford to be without one at these great, used prices. Hans Holbein the Younger (1497-1543) was one of the greatest portrait painters of the 16th. Century. He was the court painter of Henry VIII. He was a painter of religious subjects as well, and...

did they use photos from a google search?
Invest your money in a better Holbein book. A lot of images were b&w, plus many color copies were pixelated. A few are so low quality that it made me check out the info on the publisher to make sure I didn't get some black market unauthorized book. If you love and respect Holbein's work, spend a little more money and get a different book.

This is an extremely nice (and LARGE) book on Holbein the Younger. Filled with large, full color plates. No art lover can afford to be without one at these great, used prices. Hans Holbein the Younger (1497-1543) was one of the greatest portrait painters of the 16th. Century. He was the court painter of Henry VIII. He was a painter of religious subjects as well, and there is a large two-page spread of his startling Christ in the Tomb. An exceptional bargain.
