I love the soul/rock vibe of the album. Michael's voice is incredible and his talent is huge. The whole album is amazing and it's something you can listen over and over again. I recommend this album to everyone who loves rock/soul/bluesy music.

This CD is pure Michael. If you love rock/soul you will love this record. "This Is Goodbye" is sure to be a hit. Michael's rich,soulfull voice really shines on everysong. I'm so glad I purchased this and I know you will be too. Enjoy!

Ever since we first saw him on American Idol Season 7, my wife and I knew this guy had talent!!! We were shocked to see him go so early in the competition--sadly, only 8th place!!! We thought he would at least be in the final two or three for sure! Needless to say, we have been waiting a long time for his album to come out, and it doesn't disappoint. It captures the bluesy, soulful side that he showed he had on American Idol. Most of his songs remind me of his performance of "It's All Wrong But It's All Right" on American Idol. My only complaint is that I wish he had some upbeat songs on this album that showed more of his rocker side, too. He proved he could really belt out the rock tunes during his stint on American Idol! He is definitely a talented guy, and we hope he has a long, successful music career. If you are a Michael Johns fan, you won't be disappointed with his debut album at all. Show your support, and go buy it today!!! :)

If you want to hear a great soulful , heartfelt album , HBMH is the album for you. I love how his voice shows such feeling . There is a good range of songs , something for everyone , from Rock / soul to the blues . My favourite song on the album is Turn to You , a very simple acoustic rendition, but so effective.

"Hold Back My Heart" is a must have CD! Michael's soulful voice captures the audience on every track! There isn't an artist out there like Michael today.. If you thought Michael was good on idol wait until you hear this sexy, soulful, blusey CD! I'm so happy for all the success that he is about to endure! Great Job Michael, you so deserve this! 5 STARS!

This is simply the best album I have ever purchased. Michael rocks with pure soul. This man is so talented, I am going listen over and over until I ware out this album!!!

This is pure Michael Johns and that means PERFECTION! What a singer/songwriter this man is...when I hear "This Is Goodbye" my heart melts!! Way to go, Michael....you gave the world what we wanted...a beautiful, soulful album that we've waited for too long!! Thank you, Michael, for this AWESOME album!:)

This album is fantastic! It's a great mix of music: there are tunes you can dance to, and stuff that's perfect for just relaxing. Michael's voice is gorgeous, powerful, full of soul...and dead sexy.

Michael Johns (who co-wrote 6 out of the 12 tracks) has put together a terrific record; there's not a bad song in the bunch. Definitely check this one out!

I have been waiting for something like this for a long time. Great music, great vocals and great arragenments. If you like good music, the kind you can listen and relax and actually pay attention to the melody and the lyrics you will love this album. Five Stars!

Finally, a good bluesy/soul album. Michael Johns is the first singer in a long time who can sing this genre so well. I LOVE this cd!
