I have lost every straw that comes with any can of spray oil or solvent. Once the straw is lost, you can still spray but it's a mess, especially indoors - when aiming at a door hinge where I do not want any over-spray on the walls. The Hold-It straw holder really does stretch to fit just about any size can. I have 1.5" cans of Liquid Wrench and larger 2" cans of WD-40, silicone spray, carb cleaner, brake cleaner ... and this fits them all. If the straw gets bumped and pops out of the nozzle while in use, it is still attached to the can and not down on the floor, down in the engine, off somewhere in the driveway. I bought a bunch of these for my brothers because every year I find a tool or tool helper that is unique and that will get used every day. Hold-It fits the bill.

Almost every time I reach for a can of brake cleaner or carburetor cleaner I have to find the straw. Sometimes it’s on the can lid. Sometimes it’s on my workbench. Generally, it’s not on the nozzle.

It’s simple. It’s easy. It’s inexpensive. It’s an incredibly straightforward solution to a problem I’ve been having since the first time I reached for a can of brake cleaner when I was about 12 years old. I’ve collected a lot of straws for innumerable aerosol cans throughout the years, but I always seem to be missing the straw that should be stuck in the nozzle of whatever can I happen to be holding in my hand. Even when I’ve got the straw in the nozzle of the can, it’s prone to coming loose and getting lost.

The Hold-It straw holder solves all these problems in about 10 seconds. You just wrap it around the top of an aerosol can and stick the straw through it. The only difficulty I had was getting it wrapped around the can correctly so it didn’t come off, which takes about 10 seconds. I’m not sure how it could be any easier (or less expensive) to solve the problem of missing straws.

There’s really not much to the Hold-It straw holder. It’s an elastic band that wraps around the top of a standard aerosol can and holds the straw. It’s that simple.

A set of two Hold-It straw holders costs about $2.00, so they cost about $1.00 apiece. After finding them once at Home Depot, bringing them home and realizing what a brilliant solution they are to a persistent problem, I ordered a dozen of them online.

The only thing I would possibly consider doing differently would be to order two dozen and give them to my buddies. This one is a keeper! Get a bunch and give them to your friends.

These holders are a must for cans that use the little red straw that always gets lost. No more lost straws!
