PLEASE try this, you won't be dissapointed!,
This review is from: Hold Up (Audio CD)
Another french group who's doing great dance music, the difference from others is that they are mixing alot of genres, like funk, soul, Jazz and dance ofcourse and they turn everything to great passionated music for everyone. "Lucky star" was their first released single, it was a soul-dance song with a great hook and melody, the singer who featured was very talented too, his name was Ron Caroll. "The young Mc's" got great melody and the vocals of a little boy, great dance song. "Copacabana" is also a typical dance song, samba inspirated perhaps with a very nice melody as well. "Let's bounce" is a funky track with a Dj scratching a Cd. "Hold up" is a good dance track witn a voice saying "get down everybody". Some songs are quite "electronic" too with funky sound and mixed voices. "Electronique" is rather strange, the sounds are vey diffrent but cool. "Shake your body" souns a little like old disco, the lyrics are not anything special here though."Back to disco" is great and catchy too with a funky sound. Superfunk are not so big outside of europe but if you like dance music and find their album somewhere, get it. Be the first one to discover a great new dance group.
