I love peaceful reading, Marcia Willett writes in the style of Maeve Binchy and Rosamund Pilcher..both favorites of mine

The second offering in the Chadwick Family trilogy is as endearing as the first. All the lovable characters from Fliss and Kit, Hal and Mole, to Sooz, Theo, Freddy, and others return in this installment and charm readers with all the familial love and joy, anguish and heartache that made the first a favorite with readers of Marcia Willett.

The three young orphans from LOOKING FORWARD are grown up now and discovering love and careers in cities across England, yet eternally drawn to that safe haven known simply as The Keep, their sanctuary in an often troubling world.

Fliss journeys to Hong Kong with her husband and children, Mole embarks on a naval career, and Susanna finds the love of her life. The characters are magnificently drawn and their stories weave in and out of The Keep with a fascination that will keep the reader happily turning pages and totally in tune with this unforgettable family.

WELL WRITTEN , MUCH LIKE ROSAMUND PILCHER OR MAEVE BINCHY.

I had Marcia Willet's Chadwick Family Chronicles on my list of books to order for a long time, and finally treated myself to the entire four books. Oh what a delight! I never would have waited so long had I known how good they were --my only disappointment was when they had ended.

I read all the time, but only rarely run across books that make me think about the characters long after I've finished the books. I grew to know and love the Chadwick family! This is Marcia Willet at her best. She is often advertised as writing in the tradition of Rosamunde Pilcher (another of my favorite writers), but she is a gifted writer who deserves her own recognition.
