As a Natural Vision Teacher, I've watched hundreds of people try on pinhole glasses. Anyone with a fairly strong nearsighted, farsighted or reading glasses prescription will instantly see more clearly. A few have indeed reacted as the reviewer who said "they don't work". But I'd say at least 90% of people are intruiged, 50% really amazed, and maybe 10% have an strong emotional/physical reaction of suddenly relaxing.

Opinions vary on how helpful they are. At the very least pinhole glasses can be a bridge to spend time without glasses if you are improving your eyesight. If you are open to the Bates Method and other natural vision approaches you realize that your vision is very dependent on your mental state. Many people say they have improved their sight with pinholes. It may be partly from restoring their confidence, or it may be genuine physical retraining of the eyes, or some of each. Other people find little success, often because they find the holes annoying. (Some people don't even notice them)

This particular brand "Natural Eyes" is big, and bordering on ugly, but the hole size is fairly small - essential if your prescription is at all strong - and the plastic ear pieces have wire centers so you can easily adjust them to fit on any face. Most of the cheap ones on ebay have large holes which will disappoint unless you have a very low prescription. The included booklet gives some helpful clues about eyesight improvement.

If you are intruiged definitely get a pair. Impress your friends! Kids will tell you you look like a fly.

I'm pretty blind (-10.5 in right, -7.5 in left). I had noticed that my prescription was weak, i.e. my glasses weren't as clear. So I ordered these glasses, not looking for a miracle, but to improve my prescription a bit and reverse the downhill trend my eyes have.

I wore it for 15 minutes a day, which did nothing for me, so put them away for a month. And then one day I was watching a movie on my computer, put the glasses on for a few hours. The next day I woke up, it was like a miracle. My eyes felt physically different, they felt relaxed and better. The only way I can describe it is if you've ever spent a long time reading a book or playing a computer game, then go to bed, and then your eyes feel tired and fuzzy the next morning? Well, this was like that, but in reverse, my eyes felt relaxed and better.

And then I put on my contact lenses and bam!, they were really really clear. Amazingly clear. I could see things I hadn't seen before. So I wore the glasses about 1 hour each night watching TV online, and it seemed to get better. I was thrilled.

Fastforward about 1 week later, I still continued to put the glasses on for about 1 hour per day, and I'm not sure if I did something wrong (too much TV watching?), but overnight my eyes have returned to their blurry state. I'm still wearing the glasses, and will see if I make improvements (perhaps 2 steps forward, 1 step back?), but I'm also going to read books on improving natural vision etc. My conclusion is that the changes do happen, but they may not be permanent.

I sit at my computer all day at home when I try to read small type it looks blurry, a few days of wearing these glasses and I am already seeing better these are some awesome glasses.

Hello, my pinhole glasses have arrived. With them on, I can see these words at a normal distance from my computer. I have around -6.5 vision. When I first got these babies, they were way too big and slipped off my face. The little booklet you see behind the glasses in the image is around 10 thin pages, Including a few exrcises you should practice with your eyes. (stretching, palming, etc.) The booklet suggested that if the glasses are too big, to submerge them in hot water for no more than 10 minutes and lightly bend them to fit. It works. With the big "lens" it actually rests a bit on my cheeks.
What is vision like through these glasses? It is kind of like looking through a kaleidescope. I see one image, but usually there is a second "ghost" image further down. The product is essentially a black plastic in the shape of optical glasses with holes on the surface and that's what it feels like. It definitely takes time to get used to (don't know how to see through the holes yet exactly) but the price is still cheap for what it does. The booklet recommends wearing them at least 15 minutes a day, which is about how long I can wear them before taking them off to see more closely. I also bought the vision improvement Kit and Relearning to see: improve your eyesight naturally. They are extremely exciting. The main point to all of these is learning to RELAX the muscles around your eyes (stop straining or squinting.. which don't help), and how to exercise-strengthen your eyes. All these products on natural vision improvement mention that they are based on a method developed by a the man, myth, and legend Dr. Bates. Meir Shneider was once legally blind and can now drive legally without contacts or glasses. He's amazing too! You REALLY CAN improve your vision, the fact just isn't that well known for some reason (any problem that has to do with focusing light onto your eyes can be helped with these). All these product prices added together, they still way cheaper; better for you and beneficial to your entire life and future; than one visit to the optometrist or one pair of glasses. They all tell you it's ok to continue your life, continue wearing glasses for now, just add this AWARENESS and these strengthening exercises to your life, and they will help. They focus on addressing the problem (you might have forgotten to relax your eyes) rather the symptom (your vision problems). I'll write about them more perhaps when I finish reading.. and review the books. For now the books present a wide variety of very logical ideas. I hope you are as excited as me.

This product seems to be doing what I expected. I began using these glasses about a week after I got them. I noticed a slight shift in my eyesight in about a week. I've had them about a month now and have been using them about 15-30 minutes each night. I was wearing reading glasses at 1.25 before I started using the pinholes, and thinking I needed to increase the strength to 1.50. Now I am wearing 1.00 reading glasses and feel like the pinholes are responsible for that shift. I can't compare this particular brand of pinholes to other brandss, though, because these are the first I've ever had. At times the black partitions do seem to get in the way of reading and I have to put my mind on the reading and off the glasses.

Bought these a month ago and, so far, am very impressed. I've been a long-time believer that many (not all) eyesight problems can be improved with a variety of exercises and habit changes. This is one part of the process and, for me at least, it's working.

Many people with some degree of blurred vision have been amazed at the immediate impact these have on their sight. Combined with the recommended eye exercises, they have definitely made a marked improvement for me. Whether it will last long-term, remains to be seen but even for the short-term, they've been well worth it.

Highly recommended if you have blurred vision, suffer with "tired eyes", or spend too much time with your eyes focused in one place/depth.

Oh, now these are amazing. My husband is so pleased with this purchase and he is now a big fan telling everyone what a difference these make. Your eyes need exercise as much as any other part of your body and these do the trick.

While these are not the most stylish glasses, they work. The smaller holes definitely make a huge difference.

The plastic and shape isn't perfect, but it's useable and does what it's supposed to.

I guess my expectations were too high.
All of the pinholes are anoying trying to focus on what I want to see.
Will not buy again.
