5.0 out of 5 stars Holiday Fling or Lasting Love?
Ever wished you could just get away from it all, let your hair down and lose yourself in a wild fling with a gorgeous man and never have to worry about annoying things like repercussions? So did Lissy. Sorry, I meant Dr. Melissa McIntyre. When this sedate assistant university professor threw caution to the wind and indulged in a holiday fling, she got more than she'd...

This is actually a pretty well written story but there's something about it that just never gels...and then it ends abruptly. It's not great but it's an enjoyable enough read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Holiday Fling or Lasting Love?, May 25, 2012

Ever wished you could just get away from it all, let your hair down and lose yourself in a wild fling with a gorgeous man and never have to worry about annoying things like repercussions? So did Lissy. Sorry, I meant Dr. Melissa McIntyre. When this sedate assistant university professor threw caution to the wind and indulged in a holiday fling, she got more than she'd bargained for. Never see the bloke again? Think again! What if he's waiting in your office on Monday morning, your senior colleague with whom you'll be working on a special assignment for the next couple of months and yes, your promotion is on the line? Even better, what if he's your new next door neighbour too? Not to mention very closely related to the nice, stable man whose marriage proposal you're seriously considering? It really doesn't get any worse than this now, does it? As the Americans say, go figure! Go girl, let's see you get out of this one!

Apart from the very intriguing premise, I was completely captivated by the vividly descriptive writing of Annie Seaton. I've never been to the South Seas, but I feel as if I've been there and back after reading this. I could taste the salt in the sea air and feel the sunshine on my skin. It's an exhilarating read, to say the least. An unshamedly romantic piece of women's fiction which deserves to be the holiday read of the year. I particularly enjoyed reading about the girls' night out. It reminded me of my single days. Just the kind of book you'd love to discuss with your friends.

Verdict? Loved it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sandy Australian Beaches and a Sizzling Affair, May 8, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Holiday Affair (Kindle Edition)
Sandy Australian beaches, and a hot steamy affair can land a girl in to trouble. Especially, if trouble per chance, presents himself in the same place of employ. Lizzy McIntyre and Nick Richards find themselves in an interesting predicament, all thanks to their `no strings attached one night stand.' They both have to fight the building heat that gravitates to an intensifying attraction. An enticing and addictive read from start to finish.

5.0 out of 5 stars Who hasn't thought about having one?, February 23, 2013
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Starting with the premise that every woman has thought about having one, Annie Seaton creates a wonderful holiday read. Lissy takes the plunge and has a 'no-strings-attached' night with gorgeous pirate-type Nick. Of course there is 'no-such-thing' and Lissy rocks up at work, uni where she is an assistant professor, to discover Nick is her senior partner in a research task on which her promotion rides. Not only that but he's also moved in right next door. Could things get any more awkward? Definitely! Try meeting your fiancee's family and discovering your fling is his brother! And so it builds.

Settings are beautifully evocative and sustained, from sailing the Whitsundays to the gorgeous coast and hinterland of northern New South Wales. Characters are strong and well defined, and feisty Lissy is not a woman to wait for a man's help when the going gets tough. I really enjoyed their story - this is a keeper book.

This new Entangled Indulgence release made my weekend! A well written sensual romance that had me gripped until my Kindle ran out of power. Evocative scenery, sensuality, sparkling dialogue and delightful characterization made this book a real treat. I can't wait for this author's next book. Wonderful!

5.0 out of 5 stars Slice of Pavlova, February 22, 2013
Holiday Affair is a wonderful romance, with that special un-put-downable quality. I walked every step of the way with Lissy - and Nick, especially around the beautiful Bellingen area. An excellent slice of Pavlova.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does great sex lead to lasting love?, February 22, 2013
By

I really enjoyed Holiday Affair. Lissy and Nick are both believable and very likable characters with depth, who have the conflict of deciding whether their physical attraction is the hallmark of a lasting and deeper love affair. Hopefully their relationship doesn't necessarily have to end, just because it started with great sex. I also appreciate that when Lissy is in trouble, she is able to extricate herself from a perilous situation instead of sitting around feeling helpless, while hoping to be rescued. She is a strong female character, but isn't a man-hater. When she is dealt personal loss, she doesn't lose her vulnerability, which is very appealing.
