Disappointing,
By romancereader "law" (Michigan) - See all my reviews

Gwynne Forster has been one of my absolute favorite authors for years, that has changed with the last few books. Who is writing these books that she puts her name on? Her early books had engaging characters and captivating plots, lately these books read like a bunch of unconnected words between two covers, I struggled to get through half this book before I finally gave up, I hate not to finish a book, even a mediocre one. The conversation and scenes between Kisha and Craig were so slow and disjointed it was painful. As much as I have loved her early books, I am really apprehensive about purchasing another one of her books.

BORING,
By Eyes "Avid Book Reader" (Memphis, TN USA) - See all my reviews

Usually when I read a book, I give the author the benefit of the doubt and read past page 25. If I don't get that far the book is history. Well in this case I got past page 40 and I was still bored with it. If I hadn't already written my name in the book it would have been back at the store. Ms Forster books are not what they use to be. I am sorry but this was a disappointment for me.

Kisses and Love,

This review is from: Holiday Kisses (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Craig Jackson was considered a celebrity TV news anchor in Baltimore while Kisha Moran's dental practice was known around the city for reaching out to the less fortunate, especially the children to provide good dental care. Kisha's giving heart, and Craig's seemingly arrogant attitude did not seem destined to come together in Gwynne Forster's Holiday Kisses.
The attraction between Craig and Kisha was evident, even through the excruciating toothache pain Craig was experiencing when he found himself outside of Kisha's dental practice waiting for her to care for his tooth. Easing Craig's fear of needles, Kisha spent the time needed to care for the tooth and send the handsome TV anchor on his way, but not without thoughts of him lingering behind. Through a tug-of-war of wills, perception and misperceptions, Craig and Kisha began to date, but it was not long before the very things they found interesting in each other would find a way to bring friction between the two. Will Craig and Kisha share the holiday kisses they both anticipate, or find a reason to go their separate ways? I found Holiday Kisses to be a quick read, but with so much "back and forth" between the characters, I was more than anxious to see the end of the story. I recommend this book to those who love holiday romances. This book was provided to me courtesy of the author. Review by Sharel E. Gordon-Love APOOO BookClub

I usually love reading Gwynne Forster books. However, to say this is disappointing is an understatement. Both characters were bland and confusing. If I was Kisha, I would've left him alone. He kept running hot and cold from one page to the next. The storyline was uninteresting and disjointed. Hopefully in the future she will get back to good plots and captivating characters and storylines. Pass this book up! You will be happy that you did! (it pains me to say that!)

I bought this book in the store because I didn't want to pay the shipping because this is a hit or miss author for me and I was right. This book was so boring that I'm still not done with it! The most interesting part of this story was the precert. Started out promising and then fizzled badly. Kisha was a young woman in an old woman's body and Craig was an egotistigal, insecure jerk! I'm absolutely done with this author.

Craig Jackson has a toothache that has kept him up most of the night and he wants it to end. Kisha Moran is eager to get some work done before she opens her dental office for daily business, but she's greeted by an unexpected patient who happens to be the handsome, Craig Jackson. As she works to treat Craig's pain and he tries to remain relaxed, they both realize there's an attraction between them. Will they be able to resist their attraction or be tempted by love?
Although HOLIDAY KISSES by Gwynne Forster was an enjoyable quick read and the romantic scenes were steamy, there were times when the story was slow paced. Reviewed by Jaime L. Lincoln of The RAWSISTAZ(tm) Reviewers

I thought this would be a great book to curl up with this holiday season. Unfortunately, I could not finish this one because it was so slow. The title of the book does lead me to believe that all will end well with Kisha and Craig.

I have never been so bored in my life! The male character (Craig) got on my last nerve. I really thought this was going to be a good read. Don't waste your money or time on this one. I've read many of the author's books in the past and enjoyed them, but I'm totally not pleased with this one. I was so turned-off that I put the book down and didn't finish reading it.

A Sweet Gift,
This review is from: Holiday Kisses (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Craig Jackson never imagined that a toothache would land him in the office of sexy dentist Kisha Moran. Craig, not the one to beat around the bush, asked Kisha out. She was everything he wants in a woman...smart, intelligent, and beautiful...if he were looking for a relationship. He is too focused on his career, he doesn't have time to get involved. So why does he find himself wanting and needing to be with Kisha? Kisha is enjoying spending time with Craig, but she notices that he is not very forthcoming with personal information. This causes her to pause because she has already been burned before. Hopefully love can bring these two relationship shy individuals together.
Holiday Kisses is a well written story by Gwynne Forster. It flows continuously without having lagging moments. Forster does a good job with character and plot development. Holiday Kisses is a sweet romantic "gift." Reviewed by Tenecia for Urban Reviews

I have to totally agree with the previous reviewers. This was the worst in a long line of hit or miss books by Ms. Forster. I forced myself to complete it, thinking it would get better.
