For years I've spread the good word about Dover books -- even before the advent of CD ROM technology. In the 'old' days, graphic designers, illustrators, craftspeople, newspaper ad departments and many others involved in graphic design, publishing and visual communications would trace (pen & ink???) or scan and vector pages from these books. Heaven forbid, many would just cut out the page and paste up the graphic! (The books have always been so inexpensive, you can always buy another one!)

Today, Dover includes the CD ROM of art contained in the book -- the price is still inexpensive, but now you get the digital graphics that are quick and easy to use!

This year's column looks at "Favorite Clip Art Books" that provide countless opportunities for the illustrator, designer, painter, scrapbooker, crafts person, or anyone that uses legacy art in projects. Using legacy art and "old fashioned" imagery can give your projects a warmth and emotion that modern art just can't touch.

Holiday & Special Occasions Illustrations CD & Book spreads the wealth to all the major holidays of the year. So, in December, you can be working on your Valentine's projects... in February, you'll be working on Easter and so forth.

Vintage Holiday Cuts CD-ROM & Book provides countless images to use directly out of the CD, or as starting points for developing unique creations. This one ranks very high on our list.
