5.0 out of 5 stars Not For the Simply "Religous Person", July 22, 2000
This review is from: Holiness, Truth and the Presence of God (Paperback)
Francis Frangipane's work will only benefit those who are serious about "being serious about God." This book, like the teachings of Jesus, strikes hard at the self-righteousness, and Christian Pharasee-ism that is so very prevalent in Christendom today. For those who are simply looking to "make clean the outside of the cup," this book is not for you.

But for those who are willing to "forsake all," and "take up your cross daily" to "follow Him," this book will bring you closer to God than you have ever been. A truly wonderful work, mightily influenced by the Holy Spirit!

5.0 out of 5 stars MIDWEST BOOK REVIEW, May 28, 2003
This review is from: Holiness, Truth and the Presence of God (Paperback)
Let me begin this review with a quote from this outstanding book by author Francis Frangipane,
"Those who would find God, find time"
If you are a Christian who is truly seeking more of the indwelling of the one you serve this is the book for you.

The author pulls no punches in this work as he shares with you the way to a deeper walk with God. He explains that in drawing closer to God, you will be exposing your own heart and the motives therein, something some of us may not be ready to see.

He speaks of repentance, faking Christianity, overcoming idols and shaking free from the many things that have us in bondage. My favorite part of this great book was Chapter 15, "Holiness Is A Tree Ripe With Fruit." Here the author makes you face your very existence as a Christian by the words of the Bible, "The tree is known by its fruit." Talk about cutting to the quick. Just how much fruit are we bearing, or are we afraid to know?

This is a book that will make you search your heart and study your walk with God. Just how much are you willing to put on the cross and how much of His likeness are you willing to become? This book will challenge every Christian who reads the words between its pages.

This read was great! Highly Recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars A signpost on the 'narrow road'..., November 27, 2000
This review is from: Holiness, Truth and the Presence of God (Paperback)
For those who want a more intimate relationship with the Lord, for those who want a deeper, more meaningful walk in their faith, for those who need their hope in Christ rekindled afresh, this book is for you.

Mr. Frangipane is one of the best (if not 'the' best) modern-day Christian writers that we have been blessed with. This book is likely his very best, and with good reason. It focuses on the dynamic, essential, basic relationship believers have with their God.

The discourse on the holiness of God is astute - as is the message about the Truth. The church needs to learn anew what the holiness of God is, what His reverent holy presence means to us, and how we should rightly respond to said-same.

This is one of those titles that every Christian should have on their bookshelves, especially those who desire a more dynamic and vital relationship with the Lord.

Can't recommend this one highly enough.

5.0 out of 5 stars Intimacy, not religion, is the key, October 1, 2005
This review is from: Holiness, Truth and the Presence of God (Paperback)
This book challenged me in a major way. The gist of the book is that seeking after God is the reason for our existence and for victory in our lives. It relates how we substitute other things for what is important, an intimate relationship with Almighty God. From this intimacy with God springs holiness and victory. Power is not found in religion, doctrine, knowledge or anything other than being in the presence of God.

By A Customer
This review is from: Holiness, Truth and the Presence of God (Paperback)
I've read probably 50+ Christian books and this is the best one. It's so profoundly insightful, and so deeply challenging. It's one of those books that if you get, you'll read it 10 times.

This review is from: Holiness, Truth and the Presence of God (Paperback)
Frangipane delivers the truth about what a holy lifestyle is all about. There is no one quote to sum up the book. Every paragraph holds convicting truth. This is a favorite book of mine I've read many times. If you want to have a picture of God's character and how to draw near to Him then this is the book for you.

Draw closer to God and He will incline Himself to you. It is the Holy Spirit that produces the fruit of the Spirit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness and self-control. From these internal fruit comes the outward evidence of His inner work. Works are the result of this closer walk - Holiness is an outward manifestation of the inner work. Francis Frangipane again has been led to write an illuminating work about how God's light chases away the inner darkness. Come and learn how to travel the "Highway of Holiness" from the beginning until you arrive home. Bring your heart before God so that He can show you the way.

5.0 out of 5 stars 2nd to the Bible, September 3, 2004
This review is from: Holiness, Truth and the Presence of God (Paperback)
I read this at least once a year, and when I open it, I am ashamed that I waited so long. The two other books I would recomend for the serious Christian Life, are: This Church is not Appearing Glorious & it doesn't seem to be Purpose Driven, by Meyers, and Why Reveval Tarries by Ravenhill. Read these books often, and you will change the world.
