Have had some cheapie electric grilles and went for this one due to the everything stainless steel. Rather than a Grill, this is really more like an oven as the heat is indirect, so no chared outide with a rare middle with this one, which is something I miss. Clean up is not done quickly. Aluminum foil in the grease pan is a must, but cleaning is still required. The stainless steel diamond mesh cooking screen is a bear to clean but easier with Oven Off. What I don't like is the hinged top cannot be removed for cleaning and will be very awkward to clean in the future. Overall, I really like the convenience of not having to mess with charcoal, and wasn't in the mood to buy a humongous gas grill for a small patio. The unit is very well constructed and I expect to be using this for many years to come (electricity permitting).

This is a great little grill, but the controller and heat element continue to fail. I have owne one for 3 years, and the controller and element have burned out twice. I called the service dept. and they told me to leave the controller plugged in to the grill, so I did, and it burned out again. I like the grill, but cannot afford to own it.

This is a neat grill use it two to three times a week all year long. After burning out two elements and one controller in three years of operation I decided to call and see why this was happening. It didn't take the guy on the other end long to figure that I didn't read the instruction manual. I would turn it on high and cook on high and then sometimes forget to shut it down after taking the food off the grill. Running an electric element on high doesn't take a rocket scientist long to figure I just burned it out. After ordering another element and controller will try to cook on medium as instructed in manual so unit will cycle, not on high where it never shuts down. Also unplug unit after use and tell anyone that is using it to cook on medium. Sometimes we just have to pay for our stupidity.
