Editorial Reviews

Product Description
Ryder Lee and Stokes Nielson met in a church band as teenagers, and they've been making records together ever since. Their high school friendship begat a country band of five called The Lost Trailers, who have blazed their way through hundreds of honkytonks, joints, roadhouses, night clubs and concert halls, building a firewall of fiercely loyal fans. They are a band that came together naturally, matured creatively, perform explosively and have poured all of that into Holler Back, their new album on BNA Records.

4.0 out of 5 stars Repeat, September 2, 2008
By R.J. (Grand Rapids,MI USA) - See all my reviews
I was going to write my own review, but after reading Matthew Wright's review why bother? He hit it dead-on. I think 4.4 stars is about right, I really enjoy this cd.

5.0 out of 5 stars Holler Back, August 31, 2008
By Matthew Wright (North Carolina) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
While the Trailers' latest release is a departure from the Southern Rock sound of "Welcome to the Woods" (an excellent album, well worth checking out if you haven't) that endeared so many of their early fans to them, that's no reason to not appreciate this recent Country offering. A genre change is going to understandably alienate some fans, but luckily I like both styles and have to say that overall I really enjoyed the album. Admittedly, there are some country clichés and stereotypes in here, but that tends to go with the territory. The songs range from light-hearted (Holler Back, Country Folks) to heartbreak (How 'Bout You Don't, All This Love) with a good range of material in between. My favorite track is probably The Rest of Us, a song about the searching and struggling we go through while trying to find love and our place in the world.

Don't let the bitter reviews of fans of their older sound turn you off to buying what is a great country album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Smokin!, September 17, 2008
By Lawrenceville Ben (Los Angeles, CA United States) - See all my reviews
The Trailers have never failed to impress, dating back to April 2002 when I first saw them live in Philly. Although I don't listen to that much country music, the Trailers have clearly defined their unique sound in a manner anyone can enjoy. Holler Back will be a mainstay in anyone's CD changer, guaranteed. This album rocks!

The Lost Trailers hit it out of the park with this one. They keep getting better with each album. I wish them much success.
