4.0 out of 5 stars Softer side of Ben Harper
If you are interested in a great songwriter whose music has a good dose of angst without being pedantic, check this out.

1.0 out of 5 stars NOT Chris Connor
I just want to make it clear to customers and editors alike that Chris O'Connor is NOT the female jazz singer Chris Connor, who was popular in the 50s and was a protegee of June Christy. I haven't listened to Holler, so I'll just give it one star (sorry Chris O'Connor!), but I hope customers won't buy this thinking they are getting Chris Connor, because these are TWO...

4.0 out of 5 stars An amazing find!, January 14, 2004

I was blown away! If James Taylor was Irish, he would sound like Chris. I also thought his lyrics were very thoughtful, like Cat Stevens. Don't get me wrong, the CD stands alone, I just want to make a comparison. The song "Holler" moved me the first time I heard it, and it still does (100 times later).

Even though this is not Chris Connor, it's certainly worth listening to. The lyrics will move you and his voice is sexy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Musical and heartfelt, September 27, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Holler (Audio CD)
Chris O'Connor has an easy, powerful voice. The music is sung with sincerity and emotion, is often folksy and always pleasing. You're likely to find yourself humming the well-written melodies.
