5.0 out of 5 stars Beat Club clips
This disc includes four fairly short Beat Club lip-synch performances from 68/69 Jennifer Eckles, Do the best you can, Sorry Suzanne, and one other title I can't recall). The transfer is a bit dark, but not too bad. This dvd also includes several full length live songs from other artist releases on the same label. Overall, a good value for the money and a good inclusion...

2.0 out of 5 stars Looking for Hollies live performance video? Save your money!
The DVD contains four Beat Club lip-sync performances, each with the beginning of the video shaved off and replaced by a graphics only title screen - presumably because the Beat Club intro originally appeared there. There are better performance videos of the Hollies out there, I just wish someone would put out a collection of them. Meanwhile, save your money.

2.0 out of 5 stars Commercial disappointment, September 10, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: The Hollies (DVD)
I am disappointed with the "Beat Club" videos on this DVD. The quality of them is disappointing, meaning that there is more black than white in these videos. These videos need to be brightened up for better viewing. Whatever happened to the dial of "bright" on the TV? It is gone, and there is no way of brightening up these videos.

On a lighter side, I like the pop-ups that tell the story of the band.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as I had hoped but...., August 17, 2006
This review is from: The Hollies (DVD)
I really love the Hollies, especially Alan Clarke, but I was a bit disappointed that there were only 4 songs on the DVD, and they were not the most popular songs. Although, I really do love Sorry Suzanne! It's a great little song. Still if you love the Hollies..as I do, it might be worth it just to have a copy of the way they were back then. Which is how I'm looking at it. I didn't care for all the "advertisements" of all those other groups. They were mostly "B" songs, not the popular ones. I thought the quality was good.
