5.0 out of 5 stars Legit compiled evidence pointing torwards a hollow interior.
Actually, I give this book 4.5 STARS. The info the author presents is more of a compilation of other statements from individuals, books & magazines which presents undeniable evidence leading one to wonder if we truly are being kept of knowledge that the Earth does have a hollow interior, but not that of molten substances, but that of a World within the Earth; where...

1.0 out of 5 stars What?!?!?!?
You HAVE to be kidding me! I was interested because I'm into the paranormal and all that stuff, but really! This guy was actually educated?!?! Holy cow. I got the "gist" of the book in the first few pages. The rest was simply repeating the exact same thing over and over. There were even chapters repeated verbatim, plus, there was NEVER a shred of scientific evidence...

Actually, I give this book 4.5 STARS. The info the author presents is more of a compilation of other statements from individuals, books & magazines which presents undeniable evidence leading one to wonder if we truly are being kept of knowledge that the Earth does have a hollow interior, but not that of molten substances, but that of a World within the Earth; where not one race, but at least two races of terrestrial intelligant beings have been inhabiting for aeons now. Did the Atlanteans, in their spacecraft, fly over to South America, and dig tunnels leading to the interior, in fear of dieing from the radioactive energy they released during a war which caused their land to sink? Did the ancestors of the Eskimo escape Northernly, ala the birds, bears etc., that traveled North during Winter, to face a warmer climate with lush & plentiful vegitation to eat, and decided to stay ? What about the Northern Lights; the abundance of U.F.O sightings after the second World War? If you get this book, I suggest getting Zecharia Sitchin's "12th Planet". I'm beginning to believe that the aforemention, along with the living creature Big Foot all tie in, and have much to do with our past & our future. The most interesting part of this book comes in at the last chapter, as Bernard gives his views on how alien spacecraft are able to move at such high speeds & sharp turns w/out exploding. Very interesting book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Raymond Bernard's "The Hollow Earth" is a classic..., January 1, 1999
"The Hollow Earth", Raymond Bernard - the classic and fully distributed - published first in the 1960's - is in every geology section of your neighborhood or university library. Does God have a great sense of humor or what? If you want to have a great introduction to the Hollow Earth that hits the high spots of this controversial subject - read this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars A very well presented argument-line., May 9, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Hollow Earth The Greatest Geographical Discovery in History (Paperback)
This is definately a must read for any researcher on the Hollew Earth Theory.

It contains a well defined outline as to what exactly the Hollow Earth is, and provides interesting proofs to support this theory.

Whether or not they are true is irrelevant. What is important is that there are scholars amongst us who are not satisfied by simply accepting current ideas about our natural environment but wish to challenge them, perhaps opening new platforms of understanding the world we live in. Mr. Bernard is one of these people. A refreshing read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Rivetting. The facts in this work cannot be honestly ignored, January 26, 1998
By
Duggidee@aol.com (Long Island, New York) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Hollow Earth The Greatest Geographical Discovery in History (Paperback)
Even though the author's ability to clearly and concisely make his argument is rather impaired, one simply cannot help but first wonder at the theories proposed and then seriously consider them in the light of an honest, diligent search of astronomy, geology, physics, personal testimony and common sense. The more I have searched for facts in all of the above mentioned categories, the more I was forced- no matter how fantastic the ideas proposed- to agree more and more with many of the theories presented in this book. I cannot tell you how awe-struck and amazed I was as I searched for evidence to either prove or disprove Dr. Bernards theories and found two enlightening truths. That not only were many of the facts he presented confirmed by science books totally unrelated to his subject matter, but that I found by myself, with not a lot of time and effort, more evidence to support his theories that were not scientifically available to him at the time he researched and wrote this book. I would gladly correspond with anyone who would like to investigate this subject of the hollow earth with me- to either prove or disprove the contents of this book. It would be a shame if such far reaching possibilities were narrowly limited to the few who have been presented with this amazing knowledge. For those interested, there are other books just as fascinating and more skillfully written and argued than this one. I would gladly refer anyone to them at your request and will anticipate rather anxiously your opinions. Sincerely, Douglas A. Detelj

5.0 out of 5 stars Good evidence but wrong conclusion, October 15, 2008
This review is from: The Hollow Earth The Greatest Geographical Discovery in History (Paperback)
Undoubtedly the title and conclusion of this book is enough to make your eyes roll. So you ask why did I give it 5 stars? This was well researched and a very interesting read. He just simply came up with the wrong conclusion.

It can be easily verified that the earth is not as he suspects (hollow with holes at the north and south poles) by looking at every other planet and moon in our solar system. Indeed even our own earth as seen from space does not exhibit the characteristics he claims our planet has. No globes display any hollow areas, and indeed gravity wouldn't allow such a physical trait to exist as far as I understand it.

But don't let his conclusion stop you from reading this book! Because he does bring exceptional evidence for his conclusions that a series of inhabited subsurface areas in the earth exist, and I found this work key in my research.

This is a great read and if you discount the obvious flaw of a "hollow earth" but otherwise accept the evidence, you get a very peculiar picture of the earth's history indeed... which makes you wonder just what is going on? The answer lies in ancient history and though I don't normally like to plug my book in these reviews, I would recommend my book as a follow up to this work. I took his evidence seriously and managed to explain the peculiarity of people living inside the earth very well, which in turn explains a host of previously unexplained mysteries.

1.0 out of 5 stars What?!?!?!?, November 3, 2006

You HAVE to be kidding me! I was interested because I'm into the paranormal and all that stuff, but really! This guy was actually educated?!?! Holy cow. I got the "gist" of the book in the first few pages. The rest was simply repeating the exact same thing over and over. There were even chapters repeated verbatim, plus, there was NEVER a shred of scientific evidence presented, just theories and opinions. The rest of the scientific society should have run this guy through the gauntlet and hit him with sticks. The illustrations were cheesy, at best, and the one that had the obviously edited picture of mars with the "polar opening" made me laugh so hard, the book was worth what I paid just for that laugh alone. I can't believe people really buy into this theory, especially in this day and age, where you know, if there was that extra land to exploit, steal, mine, sell, rape, and ruin, it would have been monopolized a long time ago. Every theory presented in this book had more holes in it than swiss cheese.

Okay, now that I got through that, I have to admit, we all would like to believe in the "extra something" to make our lives a bit less dreary, and the thought that there's a whole exciting world, right here in ours is cool, but all the (cough cough) "proof" presented by the author was as contradictory as the bible. Okay, I know it was written quite a few years back, but come on, be realistic here, and give readers some credit.

No, I'm not a "debunker" or close-minded, I just think the whole idea was presented terribly, the evidence was sketchy at best, and the book could have easily been limited to about 40-50 pages, with all the repeats left out. That was the biggest downside to me. If I don't by a concept the first time it's brought forth, I'll be even less inclined to buy in after hearing it repeated 8-10 times.

It's still and intersting topic, and I'll look into other sources, because this one sucked.

Hi, Sorry this isn't a review for the book. I just really want to contact Douglas A. Detelj. He made an entry here and mentioned he would like to talk with like minded people. I tried his e-mail but it doesn't exist. Basically I'm hoping he'll read this or someone can help me contact him somehow.

Again, sorry about this intrusion but I really want to talk with this individual.
Thank you.

Oh, and I'm definetly going to order this book!
