From School Library Journal
Grade 1-3-Despite the hit-or-miss nature of these collections, these groaners will satisfy most youngsters. Kids will enjoy lifting the flaps to discover the punch lines, and then trying out the jokes on their friends. Hanukkah Ha-Has depicts a family get-together on the first night of the holiday, complete with latkes, dreidel games, and the menorah. In Ho Ho Ho, two youngsters make their way to the North Pole to hand deliver their request to Santa. Elves, presents, reindeer, and even Elvis figure into the knock-knock fun. In both books, the cartoon-style illustrations are festive and amusing. Teachers and parents might like to spruce up holiday parties by including a few of the wittier jokes. Knock-knocks are always popular, and these holiday versions will make the season a bit brighter.
