I managed to drill one new hole in the cross piece with a drill press and broke two bits, at which point I gave up on the second hole.

I tried to adjust the hooks to make them fit but they wouldn't lock in.

Overall it is fine. But the center arm adjustable screw height support should be better constructed. I felt that I needed to add something under the cross arm just for peace of mind. And if it is on carpet, it does not slide easily and may bend.

Item arrived on time and the side rails fit perfectly. The crossarm was ½ inch to long making the holes not line up without bending the rails apart which makes a gap between the rail and the box springs. I had to drill a new hole in the crossarm to make everything fit correctly. Otherwise well-built and still a good value for the price.

Pleased with bed rails. These were used on an old Ethan Allen headboard/footboard and the fit was perfect. Exact rails sold by EA were more than twice the price.

The bed frame I purchased was not correctly made and had to be drilled and bolts added for support. It was too awkward to return. These are defective and I feel we were scammed.

Two of the tabs that hook into the bed were bent. We straightened them and it worked fine. This is not a bed that will be used on a regular basis so we were not concerned.

Well, the price is good, and it arrived promptly. I took a chance on this after reading all of the reviews, and I would have to say that I, too, found the crosspiece holes to be in the wrong places. I have access to a machine shop, so I thought it would not be a problem to drill new holes. If you have concerns about the sturdiness, have no fears! I managed to drill one new hole in the cross piece with a drill press and broke two bits, at which point I gave up on the second hole. I was able to jam the crosspiece in to support the bed, but it is twisting the side pieces enough that it was hard to get the box spring in. After some rough treatment I managed to get it all put together.

Functional fame the went together easily. I had one problem though. The center brace has a support leg that is supposed to sit on the floor. I have what I think is a "standard" headboard and footboard, yet this leg could not be adjusted down far enough to touch the floor. I has to go to Home Depot and get a bolt to connect the upper threads of the leg with a short threaded rod. Works as designed now. Simple solution would be to make the leg two inches longer.
